The Genealogical & Historical Council of Sacramento Valley is saddened to
report the death of our dear friend and long-time recording secretary,
LaRayne Green. LaRayne passed away quietly in her sleep early Thursday
morning, February 3.
LaRayne dedicated more than 30 years to the Sacramento LDS Family History
Center, where she served as a shift supervisor and was very influential in
the decisions regarding the purchase of new materials. She was a well-known
instructor at family history center seminar
ROOT CELLAR's February 9th meeting will be held at 6:45 pm at the Citrus
Heights Elementary School, 7085 Auburn Boulevard, Citrus Heights, CA. The
Workshop will be Glenda Lloyd speaking on "There's a Gold Mine in Your
STASH" and the General Meeting will be "A Sharing of Family Treasurers by
ROOT CELLAR Members".
A National Archives (DC) staff member asked that this be posted on the APG
list. I thought I'd forward it on locally in case any of you have Trafalgar
ancestors. It was specifically stated that any questions should be directed
to John Gower as the National Archives is not involved.

GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY TO MEET IN AUBURN
The Placer County Genealogical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting
at 7PM, Wednesday, February 23rd, in the Beecher Room of the Placer County
Library located at 350 Nevada Street in Auburn. This meeting date is one
day earlier than normal because of scheduling at the library. The meeting
