Could anyone tell me where (an address) in Amador Co. CA, I might be able to write for some informaton or records about a DAVID ROBINSON and his wife Mary (unknown) who lived in Amador Co. in 1860 through 1880. Are there any Archives in Amador Co. or perhaps a History Department? I found a David Robinson in Census

I think a couple of them were pictures.

Well, the California Tokens book and the California Saloon Tokens book do not list tokens from the Peyton Saloon, but since tokens were privately "minted" and few records survive, previously unknown tokens turn up all the time. And likewise on the Nevada one. The Nevada trade tokens book is about 15 years old and i

Thank you very much for the information, I know my mother & aunt would be delighted to see that their grandfather is part of history. We're still looking for a old cash registar that exists with the name Chinn engraved on a gold mount on it, but we can't find the person who has it. Thanks again

Your best bet would be to start with the Amador Archives at:
http://www.co.amador.ca.us/depts/archives/index.htm
This will give you all the contact information you need and you can do a search online. There were a few entries for both David and Mary Robinson, in the area near Daffodil Hill - near Volcano. I don't kno

Thank all of you that told me about the Amador Co. Archives and gave me the
web site address. I was so pleased to discover they listed several items
that will help me in my search for our David ROBINSON family after 1860. I
also hope to be able to visit the Archives in person on my next trip to
California. THANKS.

Hi Kathy, and list,
I'm wondering if you have a Theodore Wilbur BERRY in
your records? I don't know if he made it to Amador
Co. CA, but in 1880 he's in the Alexander McCOMB
household, in Carson City NV, listed right next to my
CANNON & COLEMAN ancestors.
Charles Henry & Clara (FRAZELLE) CANNON, my ancestors,
were in Butte City CA in 1882 - probably Butte City,
Amador Co. CA (today a ghost town), and probably not
Butte City, Glenn Co. CA (which still exists).
The CANNON's went to Wilhoit Springs, Clackam
Update on The Amador County Archives: They have moved from the courthouse

They are very helpful!

Would some kind person do a look up for me. Would like the obits, etc. of the
following two people.
Matthew and Randall Wellbrock, died May 27, 1978 in Amador County.
Matthew's birth date : July 6, 1968, probably Contra Costa County,
California
Randall's birthdate: April 6, 1970 in Contra Costa County, California
Hello Brad ~
Unfortunately no sign of your Thomas Berry in my records. So far my folks
only spell the name with an A, Barry, and have not shown up on the delta or
in Sacremento area. Later folks of mine ended up in San Francisco.
Good luck!
~ Gloria
