FOR CAUSES AUTO ACCIDENT NEAR CEDARVILLE
Monday morning, while coming from their home one mile east of town, Mrs.
Jas. F. Poore, accompanied by her daughter Alice and Freddie Hatch, small
son of Mrs. Inez Hatch, had the misfortune of having a head-on collision
with E. R. Hughes, accompanied by Andrew Jacobs, who were on their way east
to BenMac Springs, where they are drilling a well.

TAKEN BY MISTAKE OR STOLEN
Two weeks ago at the A. O. U. W. Card Party at the I.O.O.F hall, Mrs. Thomas
Wylie took her wrist watch off and laid it on the window sill in the
kitchen. Upon going to look for it the next day, the watch had disappeared.
Now, if some one took the watch expecting to return it to her, fearing it
might be stolen if left there, or for any reason, they are kindly requested
to return it to the owner at onc
I don't know if you've received any information in response to your query, but
here's what I found: Emma's mother, Sarah A. MILFORD, died at 88 years old on
January 20, 1933 in Shasta County, State File #6683 (from California Deaths
Database). You can send for a death certificate for Stephen, Emma and Sarah. Here

CAR GOES UP IN FLAMES
While coming in from his mines last Saturday and at a point about six miles
east of Cedarville, Elmer McCulley had the misfortune of having his
Hup-mobile Coach burn up. It seems as if the fire caught near the starter,
as it was first discovered at this place. Upon discovering that his car was
afire, Mr. McCulley tried to put the blaze out with dirt, but as it was out

Percy Harris is now hobbling about on crutches, due to the dropping of a
heavy plank on his left foot, causing a broken bone in the instep.
CHARGED ON FOUR COUNTS BEFORE LOCAL JUSTICE
The middle of last week, Raymond Boston was picked up by Constable Cavin on
the four counts of speeding, reckless driving, resisting an officer and
disturbing the peace. He was hailed before Judge Westervelt, Justice of the
Peace and fined $10.00 and

OBSEQUIES OF A. L. PAGE
A. L. Page passed away at Yuba City, Cal., February 28, 1931. He was born at
Leaventon, MO., May 26, 1843, being aged 87 years, 9 months and 2 days.
He was married to Sarah A. Hazlip in 1863. Came to Goose Lake Valley in 1875
and a year later came to this valley, where he resided until about nine
years ago, when he went to Yuba City and made his home with his son Charles
and family until his death.

HORSE CAUSES EXCITEMENT
A week ago Sunday morning an exciting incident occurred when Robert Finks
saddle horse which was tied to the hitching rack at T. H. Johnstone Co.s
Store, pulled loose and taking the top pole with him and rounding the corner
with it dragging. He headed for Ernie Archers car, but upon nearing, he
swerved off of his course, causing the pole to hit the rear tire. The horse
