I don't know if you've received any information in response to your query, but here's what I found: Emma's mother, Sarah A. MILFORD, died at 88 years old on January 20, 1933 in Shasta County, State File #6683 (from California Deaths Database). You can send for a death certificate for Stephen, Emma and Sarah.
