Cindy: A 1988 obit for a Pinole resident would most likely have run in the West County Times, a region-specific edition of the Contra Costa Times, most likely on file at the "west end" branches (ie: San Pablo, Pinole, El Sobrante, El Cerrito, Rodeo Kensington, Hercules) of the Contra Costa Library: http://www.contra-costa.lib.ca.us/libinfo/branch.html The Richmond (city) Library would likely have it too: http://www.richmondlibrary.org/ As for cemeteries, there are three that come to mind out there:
