1. I understand I do have some relatives whose trees started at Aldrich, Mo. in the 1800-1900s. James Lafayette Anderson & Mary R. (McDaniel) had 12/13 children. They were my GGF & GGM. If anyone can trace their trees to them and are decendants, please contact me.

I am hoping that someone can help me with a look-up for the obit of George Thomas VIVIAN born Feb 18 1889 and died Aug 16 1979 in either Antioch or Bay Point. The former was his death residence locality and the latter his death benefit locality so I'm not sure :-(

Am looking for an obituary for Lloyd Child that died in Danville 6/6/1974. Thank you for any help you can give.
I need to know the date and place of the marriage between my aunt and Charles E. "Eddie" SCOTTI (sometimes listed as SCOTT). I thought city directories would help narrow down the time frame if I could find them listed as husband and wife. I'd also like confirmation as to the occupations of both Eddie and my aunt, and when they were first listed in the area of Walnut Creek or Concord. My aunt's maiden name was Lela May CAMPBELL, but she changed her first and middle name to "Dolores Lela" sometime after the 1
I wonder if there is anyone on this list who will check for death
certificate/obituary for Richard D Griffin, d. 06 Jan 1947 in Contra Costa
county (from Calif death index), city unknown. According to the 1920
census, Elko county, Nevada and 1930 census, Nez Perce county, Idaho he was
a switchman for the railroad, but I don't know which one.
Thank you,
Darlene
There are only a few really "suspension " bridges and the Golden Gate would
be the longest and the Diego one close second I opine.

Subject: [SOCAL] four largest suspension bridge
John:
The Contra Costa Times comes in several different versions, including
the East County Times and the West County Times. Not all obits run in
all versions.
Hercules is in West County and I'm guessing the obit you seek only ran
in the West County Times.
The main Contra Costa Library is in Pleasant Hill (Central County) and
does not seem to have the West County edition in their microfilm
holdings. You might try contacting one of the West County branches of
the Contra Costa Library system - Pinole,

BRENTWOOD - John Marsh must have figured he had nothing to fear on that crisp September afternoon in 1856 when he rode his buggy toward Martinez from his vast cattle ranch near Mount Diablo.
After all, Marsh, the man whose writings launched the first wagon trains to California, was no pushover.
The barrel-chested doctor and cattle baron had lear
I came a interesting fact the other day, so was wondering if anyone knows the names and locations of the four largest suspension bridge in the state of California? No prizes for the correct answers, just for the fun of it.;-)
Will let you know the names and where they are on Tuesday, so the people who are away this weekend, can try also.

Contra Costa Times for Wynema F. NEWMAN on 8 July

microfilm from 2 July (the date of death) through 10
July, I have found no obituary. I have requested that
the library do a search, and they have found nothing.
