The first that I found MY Hugh Galligan, at age 18,he was in Randolph, Mass in 1855 with his brother, John. The census says they were both born in Ireland. Glad to hear from any who may have a connection. My family immigrated from England in 1855 and settled in Mahanoy City, PA (Coal mining). I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. I have a slight suspicion that my gr-grandfather went to Ohio around 1870. Hello Listers, I have had my Y-Line (paternal) DNA analyzed by the Oxford Ancestors in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, England and would like to find someone who has also had his done in the hopes of finding a match by one of my relatives. I do know that there are two matches in southern Ireland but I do not know who or where they are located. My great grandfather came from Dublin so I am especially interested in that area.
