Hope the answer gets posted to the list. I would like to know the answer to
that, also.

ANSCHLAG'S EXECUTION.
Santa Ana Reporters Can Enjoy the Coveted Spectacle.
Sheriff Kays was greatly astonished at reading a dispatch, in yesterday's
Tribune, from Santa Ana expressing dissatisfaction with an alleged order from
him excluding reporters of that city from Anschlag's execution. No order has
or will be made excluding press representatives from the execution. The
sheriff is bothered tremendously with applications to be present

VERY MUCH ALIVE
The following letter was published in the New Orleans Picayune a short time
ago. The gentleman about whom the information was desired is not dead. On the
contrary, he is very much alive, here in Los Angeles, and his nerve is a firm
as it was twenty years ago, as his billiard playing shows. He is in the real
estate business and rich, two interdependent and correlative facts. The letter

But wasn't the "Victorian age" basically England? This was Los Angeles in
the United States, I don't think Queen Victoria carried much weight.

I'm no expert, but I believe the true "Victorian age" was just around the
corner form 1888. You should read some of the ads from the 1860s and
1870s...Yours are tame in comparison!

The Confidence Men Give Gail - The Warwick Family.
Julia Harris and Maud Daley were arrested Wednesday night for robbing one J. A.
Clark, who hails from the Northern Citrus Belt. The women occupy dens on
Alameda street and gave $50 for their appearance in court to-day. Clark, who
was locked up all night, refused to swear out a warrant so the case was

Hello Everyone,
I have a question? What was generally done with a persons ashes when they
were cremated and there was no family? The time frame I'm referring to
would be 1934-1936 in Los Angeles (90). I don't know the city, just the
county. On my grandfathers death certificate it says the following:
Informant: Los Angeles County General Hospital,
Address: 1200 N State St., Los Angeles
Cremation: 7/24/1936 County Crematory
Funeral Director: Los Angeles County General Hospital
Does anybody have any idea
Hi Sharon. There are several lookup volunteers that do obituary lookups.
However, really haven't provided enough information to launch a successful
obituary lookup in Los Angeles. If you haven't obtained it yet, you really
need to get the death certificate so you know the address where Ernest
lived. Los Angeles is a tough place to look for obits for lots of reasons,
some of which are noted on the SoCal Obits website.
Here's a link to the SoCal Obits website.

Hi Ruth. You really don't have enough information for a successful obit
search. Because Los Angeles is so huge, there are many, many places and
many newspapers that might hold an obit. Do you have the last known address
for Grace? Do you have a copy of the death certificate?
Other search hints can be found on the SoCal Obits website:
