A search of messages on this board yielded only one with Arnold in it, a reference to the Arnold Hotel. I do not know if there is any connection to my family, and would love to hear.
My family came to the Madera area from Clay Co. MO, about 1901.

I am the granddaughter of Nancy (Lida) Galeener Douhan.
The daughter of John Martin Douhan
Is there anyone who might be able to help me learn more about Ella (Coffman)
Campbell who was born in Kansas in 1892 (according to her death certificate)
and died in Madera Co CA 7 Dec 1947???
I understand there is no death certificate for her on the county level but we
do find her death listed in the CADI with her father listed as Coffman and
her mother as Cross. Believe this would have been Edward Coffman and Minnie
Cross who m in Belmont Co OH in 1890.

This morning I was going through the Fresno County census trying to find Pat's Yet-choo-nook. I found her in 1880 with the spelling of "Orchonook"...so there's a lesson in Anglo interpretation of Indian names.
