5. Freeland Hughes Woodard/Woodward (ca1862-1909) [0.988392]
In 1959 we were told that a picture of Freeeland Hughes Woodard/Woodward (ca1862-1909) hung in a restaurant in Raymond, Madera Co, CA. Can someone tell me whether the picture still exists? Perhaps it has been removed to a library or archive or a private home. Thank you. Zelda Dubel. rvdubel@msn.com
6. Standart Brothers Sawmills [0.988392]
The Standart brothers had sawmills around 1910 and 1912 in Madera Co or Mariposa Co, near the border. I think they were around Sugar Pine. One was John Lowell Standart (born 1873, died after 1924), called Lowell. I think his brother was John Wilson Standart (born ca 1873), called Wilson. Lowell married Edna Woodward/Woodard and Wilson married her sister Daisy Woodward/Woodard. These families also had homes in Oakland in 1924. Loretta Reynolds (1862-1924), d/o Angevine Reynolds the editor of Mariposa Gazette newspaper, m in 1882 to Freeland Hughes Woodard/Woodward (ca1862-1909). Loretta and Freeland lived in Fresno Flats, Fresno Co (later Oakhurst, Madera Co), CA on 15 Aug 1886 when daughter Edna was born. A while later they lived at Gertrude (later Ahwahnee, Madera Co). In 1893 Freeland Hughes Woodard was granted a federal land patent on property in Mariposa Co, just across the Madera Co line, at a place that came to be known
