Hi, Your Kilmorach connection looks very close to mine. My father,g-father and gg-father were all born at Kilmorach and were crofters a few miles NW at the Craigdu farm. I am looking for family. I am the granddaughter of Glen Nicholson, who was the son of Catherine (Katie), MacDearmid, whose parents were Hugh MacDearmid and Catherine Cameron.
Can any one help me locate any information? I am rather new to doing this, so any little thing will help? Thank you.

Hello Cameron List members,
My name is Pam and I have just joined this list. I am looking for info on Mary Malita Cameron b. 20 April 1867 location unk. and d. 25 July 1951 in Yantis, Wood Co., TX..On 21 November 1886 in, possibly, GA. she married James Franklin McWhorter. Their son Malone Deed McWhorter was my grandfather.
Mary's middle name may have been Matilda but my family members say it was Malita.
If anyone can help me find Mary's ancestors I would greatly appreciate it. All I have is that
My name is Marie Bull and I do not have Cameron's in my lineage but have an
interesting story. My nose is different from everyone in my family and not
liking it very much I wondered where it came from. In the course of searching my
roots I found a copy of my Great Grandparents wedding picture. Low and
behold there was my Great Grandmother with my nose! Later I found a picture of her
father and the same nose was there too. Since this discovery I have been
interested in these inherited traits. The

Thank you Mo! for the welcome. There are indeed at great many people and places named unknown. I have many in my family line. What a dreadful word!
In brief, my line from the Camerons runs like this:
Valentine T. Cameron and Elizabeth ???
Mary M. Cameron and James F. McWhorter
Malone Deed McWhorter and Ethel Orie Mayfield
LaVaughan McWhorter and Clifford C. Bean
Pamela Bean ( me) and husband and 2 children
Notice I did not use THAT word?
Pam
Donna,
I do not have any family photographs to demonstrate the lineage but
certainly both my father and I seem to have the Cameron nose. My
paternal grand-father, however, did not.
Best regards,
Charles Cameron
Aberdeen,
Scotland

Ah, yes, the well-known UNKNOWN family... I think we all must be more
closely related than we ever thought: we all have UNKNOWNs in our
family tree. ;-)

Good observation. Your maternal ancestress, whose maiden surname probably differed from
your own, would on average have an equal
HI,
I am trying to trace my "Cameron" roots. Someone I am corresponding with says they are supposedly traced back to Robert The Bruce from Scotland. I have only just begun on this line. My oldest Cameron that I know of thus far is Allen James Cameron b. 12/18/1812. I am not sure where he was born. His daughter Lorena Cameron was born in NOrth Carolina, Harnett or Moore Co.. most likely and was my great, great grandmother. I will also be researching the "McLean" name associated with this one and poss
You don't have a Alexandra McDermid in that family, do you?
