I am looking for a Mrs. Roberts , who died I think in Calgary. I am not sure
of anything, but a letter written in 1914 said she was deceased. (born 1818,
died April 11, 1914). She was sister of Alexander Cameron, probably born
between 1815 and 1825. in either Ontario , Michigan, or near Buffalo, NY, my G

The following was written by my grandmother
(Blanche Guthrie Miller) in 1966. It is her
story of her grandmother, Mary Cameron. I
grew up hearing tales of our Scottish
heritage, of Rob Roy and life in a pirate
camp! For any of you who can connect yourself
to this Cameron story, there is good
information here. The words are my
grandmothers Ive added a few bracketed [ ]
notes to clarify minor points and keep track
of children.

I would really appreciate a look-up based on not much information. My

Hi Stacie:
I am fairly new to this site and to genealogy. I am trying to trace my
paternal ancestors. My father died when I was 4 and I know nothing of the
family. Unfortunately in checking I found that my father spent most of his
life in prison.
I did find that his mother was Margaret Elizabeth Cameron and her father was
David Cameron. I have a record of her death in Toronto, Canada March 17,
1911
born May 21, 1875
Also I have a marriage record which shows witnesses David Cameron father

Hi all,
I'm looking for information on my ancestors John Cameron and Catharine
McPhee. This couple lived in Clunes, near Achnacarry House, Inverness,
Scotland. John was a foxhunter by profession, born in the early 1800's and
dying about 1850. His wife Catharine McPhee was christened in 1828 (or
1822) in Inverness, possibly Kilmallie, and died in 1864 in Kilmallie. They
married in 1840 in Kilmallie, and had two sons - Allan (christened
Kilmallie, 1841) and John (born about 1847). After his death John's
I have Allen Cameron b 2-14-1806 and wife Abigail b. 1-2-1862.
Would anyone have info on their parents?

Sorry Janis,
While I cannot rule anything out - no connection to this book I have. John
Cameron "The Wise" was born in Rannock, Perthshire, Scotland in 1730 and the
first child that I know of (there could be earlier children) was born in 1768
of wife Catherine Seaton.
I am looking for info and any descendants on an ALAN CAMERON,possibly
ALLAN or ALLEN, prob. born about 1895 in Islington, England to DONALD
and HELEN DON (WATSON) CAMERON. HELEN was also known as NELLIE DON

Scotland area. DONALD, the father was born in 1870, at Kirkintilloch,

Hello Margaret
You might want to check out this site.
http://members.tripod.com/~VictoriaCounty/index.html . I commissioned
research from the list owner Michael Stephenson, he was able to get me over
a major 8 year road block in the family research.
I was able to track down a cousin in Seattle who just sent me a ton of
information on my family and even pictures of my great-grandfather and
mother.
Hope this helps
