This is a great site for researching any family names in Rutherford Co., NC
or even the upstate area of SC.

Barbara's site that keeps being posted here will probably give you more info
than you'll ever need on the CAMPs.

Clarence, thank you for responding with the census information. Do you know anything more about this man? He is my husband's g-g-g-grandfather, and this is as far back as we have been able to go with this line. Larealia

Have just received a notice of an e-mail that was deleted by my server, due
to a virus. I presume all memebers of the Camp-L might also have received
this. I have not had this situation before and would appreciate knowing if
this often happens with list subscriptions.
The message was supposedly from a John Camp with subject heading 'For
problems resulting from your system' as an attachment. (I didn't try to
open the attachment.)
Would appreciate your comments, as I am now unsure what to do.

Laura,
My Camp family moved from Dale Co., Alabama sometime after the 1850 census
to Anderson Co. TX. They moved with his wife's family by the name of Rogers.
There were about 7 or 8 families that moved to Texas. The Rogers and Camp
families only stayed in Anderson County for a few years because they were
listed on the Johnson Co. Tax roll by 1859.
My ggg-grandfather was an only son of Sextus Camp & Jane Crawford Camp.
My ancestor was James Elbert Camp b.5-2-1819 in Georgia or possibly
Campbellton, FL. Abo
Barbi and Mary and all.
I meant the message for Barbara Farris, because she sent out a mailing to the
Camp list saying she had added new information. One of the items was for
Texas Cemeterys and when I went to the site, Texas was not listed.
I am sorry to confuse.

I don't have any information on John, but Maude's parents were William Gould
and Emma Theresa Henderson.

Hi,
My g-grandparents were John Wood St.Clair and Martha (Kemp/Camp) St. Clair,
married in Johnson county in 1865 and moved to Erath Co in 1879.
In my research, the name St.Clair has been found with several variation of
spellings: St.Clair, St.Clere, SaintClair, SaintClere, Sinclair, Sinclere,
Sinkler, Cinkler, St.Claire, Sinclaire. Sometimes St. Clair is spelled with
a period (St.Clair), sometimes without the period and with a space between
(St Clair) and sometimes as a single word (StClair).

Hi All,
I don't know if any of you have problems finding records at a moments notice,
well I did, so I put all my family info into Binders, and I still have
problems finding what I want. This did take time because I had spent 30 years
on McAdams Research plus some other Lines. I was looking for this census
below, in Erath Co.
I have a question about the people who are related to the St. Clair line. Is
St. Claire and Sinclair the same family variation of names?
I had never noticed this Kemp family
All of my info is already online in the Blackman - Farmer db on WorldConnect
and Ancestry.com.
I was asking because I'm a double descendant of the CAMP line and I found a
double 5th cousin on 2 of my other lines yesterday. If you and I are
related, then that means that she would be a double cousin on my mother's
side as well as my father's.
