Actually very old photos:
I have added a number of new Camp photos and made additions to others.
They are now available for viewing at http://www.clipper.net/~genlad

Sorry for the delay in posting but, I have been outright busy for the
past couple of weeks. If I missed a photo you sent please let me know.
Thanks.

Hello Louise: I have nothing on DeWitt Camp except his name on a roster of
soldiers who were in the Spanish-American War. I found a very worn and torn
poster 20X22 in my Uncle Walter James Coker's house. It is a "Soldier's
Memorial" with scenes of different battles, etc. There are about 100/110
names on the roster of the 2nd Regt. ____Alabama - Volunteer Infantry (Lomax
Rifles) The officers are listed and then enlisted men. Bottom of poster is

Hi to all on the CAMP list.
This was forwarded to me through another list and just wanted to post as an

Hello CAMP Listers!
In searching the CAMP mail list archives, I was happy to see many Larkin
CAMP researchers. It was interesting to find an unusual number of
coincidences between Larkin CAMP and the Alexander ORR family that I am
researching. Alexander ORR is my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandfather and I have
truly been stuck, as may be apparent, unable to find his birth parents
or the surname of his wife Martha. I am writing to ask the list if any
of you know of a 'family' connection between CAMP and ORR families.
Can someone please contact me IF you have the following in your line ?

Hi Mary
Yes I would like to have what you found on Capt.CAMP, DeWitt Thomas F.CAMP
was my late husbands
grandfather. He was born in Lowndes Co. in 1861. His father DeWitt C. CAMP
was killed at the Battle of
Shiloh in 1862.
Captian DeWitt CAMP would have joined the 2nd Regt. from Mobile Co.
Its a small world I find that my grandparents on my fathers side were born
in Lowndes Co. too
My grandmother was Fanny BARGANIER. Thanks so very much.

The photographs turned out fine. Due to the low-light and lack of tripod,
I was concerned about photographing the Baptismal font at Nazeing.
"Somehow" it turned out fine. Due to family committments this weekend
(my ten-year old's baseball game and my seventeen-year old's first
prom) it will be the first of the week before I can scan them and
send to Larry (thank-you!) to post to the Camp list. I hope ya'll will
like the photos and will plan a trip soon for you to see these
shrines yourselves!

Hi Susan,
I''ll let you know as soon as I hear from Mrs. Day. I'd be happy to
also let you know how to locate the almshouse and church. It is a
bit complicated if you don't know the Brit transit system (as I didn't)
but I can pass on which stations, trains and buses I used which might
cut down on travel time for you. I don't know what the landscape looks
like any other time of year, but this spring was glorious!
I'll keep in touch,

Thank you for forwarding this. Just because certain people seem bent on

I believe that those who would try to destroy us in this manner, live in the
fear of their own disbelief.

Elaine,
Thank you for the note. I'm still very excited about the CAMP Family
Bible (1883) of Milton and Lydia Ann (Hazel) CAMP, and the family history it
tells, as well as the flowers that are pressed inside it, and the cutouts
that have been used as book marks. There's even a peice of material that was
used as a bookmark. Best yet, is to know, that my great-great grandmother

Hello to all the Camp relatives,
Today is one of the best day in my family research! My mother decided
that I have the CAMP Family Bible! She's been telling me for years that it
has no names in it. I've seen it before, and couldn't find anything in it,
until today (wasn't digging hard enough, that's apparent)!
The pages after the Old Testament, and before the New Testament have the
following names and dates. These pages included the Birth Records and Death
Records on separate pages, but I'l
Dear List:
WOW! My husband and I returned late last night from London. We
were extremely privileged to have visited our Camp roots in England.
Cragg Hines of this list bent over backwards to help me with the
logistics of the villages. I am forever in his debt.
Let me just say that if you've been considering visiting England and
if it is worth the effort and expense, don't hesitate!
The village of Frien Barnet is north of London. If you go from London
by train, it is still necessary to take a short bus
Hello Camp researchers & Pat this might also interest you - another puzzle.

Dear Tobi L. and all my other wonderful Camp research friends - I might
suggest keeping a list of new virsus you hear of - and to be leary of subject
lines that might not jive with who is sending - all of the virsus I have had
come thru my home computer have been from people I know - and they didn't
know a virus had attached itself to the unit - I have been lucky enough to
have recognized all of them so far & didn't open. I did however send a

I don't usually do this, but I am sending this to all on my mailing list whether you think it appropriate or not. Thank You, and may God Bless the efforts of this father.
