The web site for Higginson Books is below. I didn't see the Camp/Jones book
there. However, if they can get a copy of one they'll be able to make a master
copy so they can print copies when people order them.
Hope this helps.

I am trying to obtain a copy of the book, Camp, Jones & Related Families. I
sent a check to C. Nelson Carter at the address listed on the Camp Family
Website, and it was returned as undeliverable. Does anyone know where I can
purchase the book?
When you can't find a book you need any other way, try the online used book
sellers. A year or so ago I was able to locate a used copy of a book I
wanted which had been out of print for years.

Just a little bit of information - just for curiosity - I checked the stats
of who was hitting our Camp web site and as you can see, we are visited by
lots of other countries.

Hello,
Do they have birth records from that early in
Connecticut? I don't think they have them that early here in Alabama. Death
certificates can only be ordered after 1907. Good luck.

For all who are interested: I wrote to Milford, CT requesting a copy of
the birth record for Job Camp (b. 1747, m. Anna Oviatt). The hope was to
settle once and for all the question of parentage (Isaac Camp/Sarah
Clark, or Israel Camp/Anne Hine). All the references I've found and that
people have sent support Isaac Camp and Sarah Clark.
Response from the Milford City Clerk is: "We have no record of a Job
Camp or Campe being born in Milford between 1640-1850. I suggest you

Hi,
My line of Camps includes an Alford Banks Camp, b. 22 September 1846. His
father, is also Alford Banks Camp, b. 11 July 1811, and d. 30 May 1853, in
Randolph County, AL. My grandfather, Walter Luther Camp was born in Randolph
County, AL 27 January 1884. His father was Henry Clay Camp.
I don't see a Louis Jefferson Mordicah Camp, but maybe there is a connection
somewhere close, I doubt there were many different lineages of Camps in
Randolph County, AL at that time!

New York Court Records - Appointment of Guardians 1803-1815 Book 3

them up in the bok. My cousin Jack wrote the book. Margaret Camp Ahrendt

I have a new e-mail address scamp0110@juno.com. Hope this is the way I was
supposed to do this! Sorry if all of you get this wonderful info also.

About 1 year ago, I telephoned the gentleman who supposedly was selling
these books, based upon an address on the Camp Family Homepage. The man was
polite and told me the book had been sold out for several years. He had the
original copy of the book but would not sell it. I had suggested that he
scan it and put it on a CD for sale. He said he was retiring and moving to
a new location and did not offer the address, nor did he seem to want to
bother with scanning the book. I offered to do it for him but

Thanks for the information....I know a local library has it, it looks like
I'll end up going there.

I have installed a search engine for the entire Camp web site. You will see
it near the bottom of the Camp home page. If you enter a name, it will send
you to a list of pages that name appears on. You double-click the particular
page you want and it will take you to that page - somewhere on that page is
that name. (A good tip is to do a Control-F and type in the name you are
looking for and it will shoot you right to it.)
If you have any problems, let me know. I hope this new feature will be

Thank you for the address, everybody. Ross, I have relatives in that
early Milford, CT branch of the Camp family. I misplaced your original
post, and would like to know the name of that book you mentioned again.
Thanks!

I just want to publicly thank those hard working volunteers that have been
quietly working behind the scenes inputting Camp family names into gedcom
files and sending them to be put into the Camp Family Database. Since last
month, when I asked for typing volunteers, they quickly raised their hands
and went to work. I wish to profusely thank the following:
Sharon Kelley
Thad Greer
Mike Collins
Elaine Blackman
Nancy Rodgers
Paula Fancher
In just over one month they have added 2,776 names to the Camp F
I can hardly find the time to read the e-mails but I just want to say how
very grateful I am for all the wonderful Camp cousins who are doing this.
