1. [CAMPBELL] Glen Urquhart Scotland to Nova Scotia [1]
Hi Christine..... Please post this for me. My ancestors emmigrated from Glen Urquhart in Scotland to Pictou County Nova Scotia in 1820. My Grandfather Peter Campbell was born in Blue Mountain Nova Scotia and the entire area around Blue Mountain is inhabited by nearly pure Scottish folks. We had a reunion of Campbells there in 1988 in the old Blue Mountain school house. I was able to show them that they were all descendants of the same two people that I am. It was common for those early families to have ten

Greetings! Enjoyed your web site, it was easy to read and move about in, Thanks. We do have two names in common, Campbell, and Cowie. Cowie is not a direct relation, but our geneology research did reveal that Catherine Jeffrey Findlay born 1905 in Motherwell, (daughter of Jane "Jeanie" Campbell and Ronald Goodlet Findlay) married William Lang (son of John Lang and Jeanie Cowie)in Glasgow. Records indicate Jeanie Cowie was born in 1876, (daughter of John Cowie and Janet Colquhoun) died in 1953 in Glenma
