Hi Christine..... Please post this for me.
My ancestors emmigrated from Glen Urquhart in Scotland to Pictou County
Nova Scotia in 1820. My Grandfather Peter Campbell was born in Blue
Mountain Nova Scotia and the entire area around Blue Mountain is
inhabited by nearly pure Scottish folks. We had a reunion of Campbells
there in 1988 in the old Blue Mountain school house. I was able to show
them that they were all descendants of the same two people that I am. It
was common for those early families to have ten

Hi, Folks,
Please send your messages in plain text, including attachments. The file
attachment should have a file extension of ".txt".
*DON'T* send to the list:

sounds (.mid, .midi, .wav, etc)
videos (.avi I think)
executables (.exe, .com, .dll, etc)
and so on.
If you want to share them, I can put them in the list archives for
you for all to download, and with a message to the list to let folks know
about the file. Or send a message telling folks you
It's always nice to have another Campbell researcher on the list. There
are some really nice people on here! The one thing I like to see on the
various list I am on are decendancy charts (short ones) with places of
birth & death typed in. Really easy on the eyes and easy to scan.

To: Diarmid Campbell - One of the Old names associated with the
Malcolm/MacCallum family of Poltalloch is "Corbarron".
As in ... Robert Bain's Clans & Tartans of

Hi to all CAMPBELL researchers,
I rec'd the following information from another list to
which I belong. Since there are Campbell's who signed
this petition, I decided to pass it along. So, below is
a listing of the men who signed the petition for
the petition of the North part of Orange County, NC.
It is listed it out in single file to uphold the integrity
of the groupings rather than in paragraph form where
the grouping integrity might be lost.

do have two names in common, Campbell, and Cowie. Cowie is not a direct
relation, but our geneology research did reveal that Catherine Jeffrey
Findlay born 1905 in Motherwell, (daughter of Jane "Jeanie" Campbell and
Ronald Goodlet Findlay) married William Lang (son of John Lang and Jeanie
Cowie)in Glasgow. Records indicate Jeanie Cowie was born in 1876,
(daughter of John Cowie and Janet Colquhoun) died in 1953 in Glenma
