Chris and fellow CAMPBELL Researchers,
It saddens me greatly that we can be excommunicated by
quoting great SCOTTISH Literary works. Did you know
that the author of 'Peter Pan' was a Scot? That it is
believed that the inspiration for 'Neverland' was a
small part of the west coast of Scotland where a finger
of a tropical ocean current reaches? That the author's
name was James BARRIE? That there is a bronze statue of
'Peter Pan' residing in Scotland? Bet that most of you
didn't know that. I know that
Ed, This is for you especially since you are always wondering but others
should find this very usueful also.
I came across this site earlier and thought someone may need this so
here it is.

You can search from here all the reocords of convictions from Ireland
and possibly which ship they were sent out of the country on.

Scotland was by this time (Anglo-Saxon invasion) divided amond four
peoples, three of whom were related, for they were Celts. ...Picts...
Britons...Angles (Germans who settled between the Forth and Tyne
rivers).
The fourth people were the Scotti, those raiders of Roman days.
They were Celts from Northern Ireland and they settled in the Argyll
area and the western islands. They had not only joined the Picts on
raids into sou

The Campbell-L list is a free service provided by Genealogy Online, which
is run by Michael Cooley, and which relies on donations or sponsors. List
messages go through the various processes, and are archived on Michael's

Donations are used to improve the system (memory, disk drives, etc.) or

There is a will for Grace Hay. I could not find my copy
last night. From what I recall, she had a son James and
other children... one of children was a son (youngest?) and
was retarded in some way. She left money for his care. Not
sure of her husband. If I find my copy I'll post it to the board

"You see, Wendy, I don't know any stories. None of the lost boys know any
stories," Peter said dejectedly.
"How perfectly awful," Wendy replied with a sweet caring voice.
"Wendy, do come with me and tell stories to the other boys,"
I didn't mean to send this to the list -- apologies to all. I've
already been privately yelled at, please don't clog my mailbox with
further angry notes. Thanks.

Hi,
I am reposting this quiry in hopes that someone might have some
information to share. Any info would be appriciated.
My Campbell line consists of a John Campbell, of a yet unknown location,
who was possibly married to an Agnus (last name unknown). This couple
had at least one known child, and his name was Thomas B. Campbell.
Thomas B. Campbell is listed on the Campbell database, as being married
to Mary Ellen Wilkerson, in Woodford county, Illinois, in 1857. But I
have found no written proof of this mar

for a Margara Ann Campbell, b. abt. 1838 in IL. she was married to Phillip

Robert CAMPBELL married my great-aunt Louisa Clementine TABOR/ER on June 21,
1897 in Independance, Mo. They had 2 children. 1. June CAMPBELL married
Fletcher SWEENEY, in Independance? and 2. Roy CAMPBELL, nfi. Would like to
contact cousins and perhaps gain information on Robert and more on Aunt Lou,
such as death date and place of burial. Thank you. JudyL105@aol.com
I found a web page on the net that I think lots of people will love. When
you type in the town and the state, it will tell you the county that the
town is in, as well as the long and lat of the town.

Good luck everyone.
Dawn.
I am looking for the family of a Christian Campbell in North Carolina.
She married Duncan McCollum or McCallum about 1791. They had 10
children between 1792 and 1812, all born in North Carolina. The second
child (1794) was born in Richmond County, but we do not know where the
others were born.
We are confident that both Christian and her husband were born in
Scotland
but we do not know if they were married before or after they arrived in
this country.
We have seen her name listed as:
-Christian Campbe
