Hi, We have all had our proverbial "needle in a haystack" situation when it comes to researching our family history and I am no exception. This one involves a first name only. It concerns my uncle, F/O Gerald Edward GEEVES, #405 Pathfinder Squadron R.C.A.F. who died 02 Jan. 1945 over Nuremberg, Germany. What makes this particularly tragic is the fact that not only was this his last op, (he flew 47 in all) but he was scheduled to return home for good the following day.
