We subscribed to the list to hopefully find ANY reference to the family we
are researching. Therefore it is logical that we post the known information
on our ancestor and make a query to the list members on the information

Dear Folks:
Over the past few years, I have received many queries on the cemeteries located in
Northern Ontario. These questions range from...people looking for cemeteries, or
tombstones in these cemeteries, cemetery records and generally, assistance in finding
their ancestors' burial place. Many folks who queried, have no idea what communities
exist in Northern Ontario and therefore when they are directed towards this Region they
are unsure of which way to turn. My knowledge of distant points in Norther
New to the list, I'm researching the name PARKES and specifically a Charles Austin PARKES whom I believe at one time during WWI may have lived in Port Arthur while single, with his brother and sister-in-law. Charles married in England and I understan
