Debra, there is a Frances Neely, pages 197, 198- from Myrtle Bridges book, Scattered Seed - Giving the generations from James Campbell of Anson Co. later Richmond. Third generation, Richard Campbell Jr. married Dec.12, 1819, Frances Neely , born 1800, died between 1850-1860. Many of the descendents went to Tenn. but no mention of Richard and Frances. Dear Ray, there is a will in Richmond Co. dated 1831, 2/7, by a John Wilkerson, also a notice by a Daniel McDonald for a John Wilkerson, among many people to appear at court July 23, 1800, Richmond Co. No wills are listed. This is from Myrtle Bridges book, Our Native Heath. Could your John be a Jr.? Taking advantage of your willingness to help with Robeson County family lines, I am trying to find the family name, McPheeters, McFeeters, McFatter, etc, with a first name of Jane, Janet, Jennet, etc., even Mary Jane (How's that for a clue?) This Jane is said to have married John Calvin Campbell in Cumberland County in about 1809. She was born about 1790, and died in Moore County in 1857. I would appreciate any help or direction. 9. Re: [CAPE-FEAR-SCOTS] SMITH/BLUE [1]
Richard, do you have the book, Carolina Scots by Douglas E.Kelley and Caroline Switzer Kelley? They have a lot of information on the Gilchrist emmigration, names, and families. Also, reference to a book by Robert W.Gilchrist, Titusville, Fl. I was very disappointed that they had no information on my James McDonald, first found in Cross Creek with land patent 1760; he is written up in Rassie Wicker's book, Ancient records of Moore Co. N.C. No more records of him have been found as to who his parents a

11. [CAPE-FEAR-SCOTS] Smith's in N.C. pre-1770 [1]
Hi Ruth and Richard and the rest on this board, It looks like the two of you may of just solved the great mystery of my Smith line for me. I have thought for some time now that my John Smith Sr was a son of Malcolm Smith. I noted in the ref of the Fields research, that of two or three possible ancestors of mine. The first John Smith Sr, then Jr. and also a William. I had estimated John Sr's birth to be abt. 1740. He died in 1825 in Williamson Co, Tn. He was the father in law of Richard Campbell and

13. [CAPE-FEAR-SCOTS] McArthur and Graham Information [1]
I would appreciate McArthur and Graham information. My fourth great grandparents were Daniel McArthur and Jeanette (Jennet) McArthur (her maiden name was also McArthur), both of whom were born in Scotland and settled in the Robeson County area. Daniel was a Revolutionary War Patriot. Last year I found Daniel's grave at Longstreet Presbyterian Church Cemetery. His stone reads, "Daniel McArthur a native of the Island of Islay in Scotland, Departed this life August 9th, 1819, Aged 74 yrs." I found a
