1. Re: [CAREY] Moses & Lucy Carey [1]
Brendan, I don't think our Careys are the same family--mine came from England back in the 1600s. But I do have Irish ancestry too---different names, from Longford Co., Ireland, who came here in the early 1800s. Hope you find the Careys you search. Take care, Jane G.

Hi Jane, My Carey's [Patrick] was born in Cork. Ireland, and went to England to Wigan, married a local girl, Mary Birchall in 1829, and started a whole network of Carey's up to the present day, Don"t know if its much help, Brendan ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Monday, October 23, 2006 6:22 AM Subject: Re: [CAREY] Moses & Lucy Carey > My Moses Carey goes back to about the time of yours, but I don't know who > he > wed. 3. Re: [CAREY] Moses & Lucy Carey [1]
My Moses Carey goes back to about the time of yours, but I don't know who he wed. His son was a Moses Carey wed to Elizabeth Hill--all this in Maryland. His son was John Franklin Carey wed to Hannah Gardner. Their daughter Mariah Carey was my great grandmother born 1825. I have the dates on the others but would have to check my FTM for accuracy. Where did your Careys settle and live? Jane Gottschall in San Jose, Ca.
