Hi iam an artist named rek. I do drawings. I also paint. The power of
the art work I do is in the vibrational flow. The work speaks for it
self. It is a one of a kind like peter max I love my flow to be
abstract. When I was younger THEY TOLD ME i could never be a good
artist and I have pictures that people enjoy. So ask your self what is
good art. I think good art is work that moves you and makes you think.
I take the approach of shading and coloring. making formations that
mix with each other. I need to ge

hi rich:

same info online or are there more info on the films? do the mormons have these
films?
Dear Jim, Listbuds, and the "old faithfuls",
Life takes us in some different paths than we had planned, but many
times for the best. Congratulations to you, and glad to see you
"resurfacing."
I have been gone from the list also, because of a couple of reasons:
(1) The questions and notices I have posted years ago have begun to be
answered. We have found several of the Taitt family, who has provided
us with much, much information. In fact we visited the homestead my
great-grandfather, Joseph Alfre
Let me correct a little error. Actually, it was an Englishman, Mr.
Bonyon, who moved to Trinidad, fell in love with the country, and asked
his friend and my great-great grandfather, Herman Taitt to send some of
his boys to help him establish a Hardware Store (not a grocery store) in
San Fernando. Herman sent Bobby (born 1855), Joshua (born 1859), and
Joseph Alfred (born 1861). That's how that line to Taitts got to
Trinidad. There are several other Taitt family members who went to

I have no idea what is going on I am not even sure webTV can create

the message that I sent. It does not show up that way in my own email.
Are you sure that it was sent by me?
Esmit not Esmith
The Esmit brothers Governors of the Virgin Islands were from a
Netherlands family who were in the Hanseatic trade. The name was
originally Schmidt but had changed while a generation of the family was
living in Spain.
Among the legacy of the Esmit descent is the ability to boast that your
family were in business with Edward Teach, Blackbeard the pirate. The
brothers not only traded in slaves they bought cargos from pirates and
outfitted their ships.

Why does Richard persist in sending messages as attachments?
It is not in accordance with newsgroup protocol.
I delete every such message (you never know what nasties attachments
might bring) so I have never known whether his malevolent practice hides
a benevolent nature

Hi, all...
I know you have lost many of the "old faithfuls" on this List, and I have
to admit I am one of the guilty ones. But my life has gone through some
churning, among which I experienced a separation in 2001, divorce in 2002,
and re-marriage last Friday (25 June)
I have been in a new job for about seven months now. It was tough at
first, but now it is much easier and I have great hopes for the future.
I had to close all of my email boxes due to a load of more than 3,000 SPAM
a day, so I have creat

(Barbados) Preservation of history crucial.
Persons who manage archives and the storage of information in this region
have been challenged to lead public education about the importance of
preserving such records and creating more knowledgeable societies.
The exhortation came from Caribbean advisor in information and
communication for UNESCO Jocelyn Josiah who lamented that policy makers
and administrators are not doing enough in this regard. She
There is a lot of information on here which could be discussed. I found
it looking for the Esmits Governors Adolph and Nicolaus.

Hello: this is my first time posting to this list.
Presently looking for information on my Aunt - Phoebe Riddick nee Monypenny.
She lived in Jamaica in the early 1940's as I can remember getting presents from her in Toronto.
Would love to know when and how long she lived there.

Hi,
When your research brings you to the Netherlands or Belgium, take a look
at Digital Resources Netherlands and Belgium, to see if you find
something usefull among the thousands of links to (mostly) primary
sources: http://geneaknowhow.net/digi/resources.html
This site, online since 1997, is updated almost daily (since June 1.
this year over 170 entries were added). The site is part of the domain
Geneaknowhow.net.

As mentioned by Richard Bond, the West Indian Chancery records should
be helpful to your search. There you will find records for Christopher
Friderich Hansen, Jens Nielsen Kragh, and Johannes Kragh.
Also in Ryborg's book, A List of the Names of Inhabitants; The Danish
Westindian Islands (The Virgin Islands) from 1650- ca. 1825, you will
find the following references to the Kragh family:

I am looking for information on Mary Thomas alias "Queen Mary", the heroine
of The Great Fireburn of 1878 on St. Croix.
I know that she was born on Antigua appr. 1842 and came to St. Croix in the
late 1860's. After the rebellion on St. Croix she was sent to Denmark to
serve a life sentence for her role in the Fireburn. She was
released/tranfered to St. Croix again in late 1887, but after that I don't
know what happened to her. Anybody have a clue?
