HI Diana
The information on a marriage etc was only as good as the information
given......if Margaret when asked what her fathers occupation was she was
have given it, perhaps she did not think to say deceased too.......it
sometimes does happen and it is omitted......you have searched 1841 for John
Williams senior, we know that Margaret aged 15 Hannah and John were living
alone.......we could assume that parents were visiting somewhere, he was
working away or that he was deceased.....I cannot find Jo
Sue I have looked at Mary Thomas months old......but only made note of the
ones from that area......only this one...
village of Llansadurnen living with a Benjamin Thomas and family - Mary
Thomas nursing 11months.....this entry was later than another nursing child
named Jeremy
what do you think........when it gives Carmarthen as registration district
in bmd's it covers the whole of Carmarthenshire excepting the Llanelly
registration area........

In going through my Woozley 'strays' I recently came across the mention
of a Woozley Beynon, who married an Evan David on 10 November 1772 at
the parish church in Kidwelly. As she was 50 when this marriage took
place, she would have been born in 1722. She lived to a ripe old age and
the farm outside of Kidwelly, which she and Evan called home, still
survives.
My cousin and I are hoping to find, in the early Kidwelly records, the
possible birth of Woozley Beynon and who her parents were to give her

Hi Pauline - yes I think you did but then the name David Hopkins meant
nothing to me! Now of course it ties up with the husband of Margaret. I
think this may be him in 1851. Also the daughter in 1841 was also Hannah.
Do you agree?

Hello Listers,
I am new here today and I hope someone will beable to help me. I recently
received information that my 3xgreatgrandmother, Ann Jones may have been
from Carmarthen. Her maiden name may have been Jones and she married John
Jones of Swansea. My dilemma is that on the 1851 census in Swansea Ann's age
is given as 32, place of birth Carmarthen and she has 2 children ages 6 and
3. I found one marriage record on freebmd in Carmarthen of a John Jones and
Ann in 1844 (didn't know what her mai

Id be very grateful if anyone could check the 1841 Census for Henry DAVIES,
b.Carmarthen c.1824, possibly a tailor or related trade, son of another
Henry, who was (or had been) a soldier. I especially want to find out the
names of his mother and any siblings.

Pauline, hi
would Mylett farm and LLANDOWROR be in the same enumeration district in
1871?
Today they are cut by modern roads but still physically near.
I am trying to find if the servant Mary THOMAS b 1851 who Rachel Lewis took
with her to The Rhondda on her marriage to Lewis Morgans in 1870 had any
family in LLandowror in 1871 .
It could be that Rachel's family at Mylett had died out by 1870 and if Mary
Thomas was a servant or distant relative who lived with the Lewis for some
part of 1751-1870she

Hi David
Bit of good news, Morgan and Gwenllian both made wills and these are in my
index of St Davids Diocese Testator will Index.
Morgan Price, Mothvey Carms year 1805/133
Gwenllian Price, Mothvey Carms year 1844/125
the number after the year is the number which is used on the will abstracts
which are found in Carmarthen record office (archives)....the number differs
from the ones used by NLW as we indexed these wills before the NLW ....these
are the numbers used by the LDS.

Hello Pauline
I am not completely certain, but it is probable hat my James RICHARDS is the
one shown in the 1851 census as a lab. at Tucking Mill Llanddowror. I
haven't unravelled the connection between the Evans and the Richards, but I am sure
there is one. Another lister referred to brothers from one family marrying
sisters from the other.

Hi all, could any kind person look up 1871 census and before for the parents of Thomas Rowlands showing on 1881 as 23 years and living at Stoneway, Laugharne, Carms. Also his wife Ann nee Thomas who was 21 years on 1881 census.

Nice to hear from you, yes I would love to have a copy of the photo. I only
received the certificate this morning, so not knowing the area, I'm puzzled. I
have a copy of the burial of Sem Andrew, now Rachel's certificate. I'm just
wondering where Jane Andrew nee Davies was after Sem's death. With it being
Scarlet Fever I suspect that more of the family died, I know of another child
Anne died in 1838 in Carne, so I will now get that certificate. Could you
