Thanks so much for finding Salome and her grandchildren. How can I find when they came to Oakland, Calif? Also She possibly would have run a clothing store. Is there any listing for businesses? Are there marriage records for Oakland, possibly the Jaeger girls marriages within the ten years after the 1920 census?
Still searching for her sister and husband, August and Maria Elizabeth Scharf and their children.
And thanks too for the census including Henrietta. Knew she was living there when she died.

Hi Colby,
Guess Levi was traveling when the 1880 census was taken - he is not listed
anywhere in ALL of California.
I also looked for him in the index for 1880 census for the entire country.
Not listed anywhere - so maybe he did travel the world!
Luck!
