I was lured to order several microfilm copies from this company with

My order was placed in October of 1998 and as of this posting I have not
received the order or a refund after numerous contacts with Steven Jensen at
this firm .
I'd like to thank whoever posted the articles from Hutchings' mag. to the
list. This is very timely for me as I'm trying to get information on the lives of
family members who lived in and around Stockton in that time period.
In particular, Jeremiah Gard and sons Charles, David and perhaps John lived in
the area in the late 1840s thru the late 1860s and several Webbs including James
Webb and his children lived there from the early 1850s and some of the family may
still be there.

I am trying to locate the obituary for a Clara Warren, who at the time
of her death, lived with a grandaughter of hers in Oakdale. She was
about 103 years old and originally from Mississippi,
but had lived in California for at least 30 years, having family in both
northern & southern California. I believed she died in 1996 or 1997.
Can anyone help locate the newspaper for the Oakdale area [maybe they
can provide the date she passed on].
Any assistance is appreciated.

I'm looking for info about Lilburn WADE b: 1858 and his wife Emma VINEYARD

their 50th wedding anniversary lists eight children. Chester Arthur, Owen,

Hello. I am looking for my grandfather on the 1900 San Joaquin County Census.
I was told that the 1890 census had been destroyed. His name was John Patrick
Gomas, b. 7/1/1887 Stockton, San Joaquin Co., CA. I do not know his parents
names or his brothers and sisters. Both of my parents are deceased and my
step mother has recently told me that my grandfather had another family before
he married my grandmother in Texas. Any information on him would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks! Vance
I just made a little breakthrough by using this index and thought others
might find it useful.
All of the counties in California are available but must be searched one at
a time.
