Hi Alice,
I can take a look at the Calif. Death Index to find Chester's exact date of
death - it would make easier for someone to search for an obit for you.
The Tracy paper is at the Tracy Public Library but it's possible that his
obit appeared in the Stockton Record.

Took a look at the Sacramento Bee index between 1860 -1870 and the books put
out on early Stockton newspaper articles. As you can see there were quite a
few James Brown deaths:
6 Feb. 1864, Brown, James age 33 died Feb. 4, native of Illinois
9/22/1859 Brown, James, drowned in Solano County
5/14/1859 Brown, J. murdered by Indians near Klamath Lake

I'm looking for information on a Chester Stanley Jaskiewicz his parents,
siblings, ancestors and descendents.
This is what I know:
1. Chester was born in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut in about 1923/24
2. He was a Marine during WWII and was stationed at Klamath Falls, Oregon -
also served in the Phillipines
3. On 20 July 1945 he married Marjorie June Elliott in Klamath Falls, Oregon
4. They had a daughter by the name of Andrea Lee born 8 May 1946.
