Hi Joyce,
I looked at the Santa Clara County recorders office today and didn't find
anything there. There was no marriage for Joaquin and Wilda in SCC.
Sorry I couldn't find anything for you.....

Perrin,
You are an ANGEL! That's the address I have for the family in
Milpitas! Hopefully, if they were there in 1997, they are still there
now! My great grandmother (Theodore's Aunt) died in 1937. My
grandfather never talked about her. MY father would like to see what his
grandmother looked like. If I get a response from them hopefully they
might have a photo of her! Thank you so much! You should
volunteer for Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness!

Thanks, Bill,
That was a really good resource for us.

Hi Perrin:
What are the oldest death certs that are computerized? Birth records
are really what I need in Santa Clara County, but I would appreciate the
info for my grandmother who died in Los Gatos during 1956. Her name was
Edith Miriam (Eddy) Flagg. Thanks for your help................Norma Flagg

Hello list...
As you know, I've been doing lookups for Santa Clara County deaths,
marriages, births, for a while. Sometimes I've posted on other lists and
get down when my requests are never answered or I've sent genealogy letters
out to folks and don't get anything back..you know the normal genealogical
challenges.
Well I feel like I've been repaid a hundred fold!!!!
Just this week I got a PACKAGE chock full of genealogical information from
my husbands uncle....real exciting STUFF!!! Copies of birth c
Judy,
It is pretty easy for me to do death cert lookups. The death certs are all
on a computer database and it's literally put in the name and hit enter.
Couldn't be easier unless they typed the name in for you and brought a
cocktail!!!
I'll be happy to look these up for you. I'll TRY to do it tomorrow but I'm
leaving for Atlanta (business trip) on Saturday and still have to pack. If
not tomorrow then next week probably Wednesday or Friday.

No better words can describe the people of San Francisco
after April 18, 1906 than these. They were written by Mayor
Edward Robeson Taylor and are are inscribed in stone high
above the rotunda of the present City Hall.
SAN FRANCISCO
O glorious city of our hearts that hast been tried and not
found wanting...
Go thou with like spirit to make the future thine.
The embers had died out, and weary San Francisco city
employees began clearing the rubble from the streets.
Wouldn't you know that the Board of Supervisors wanted City
departments to report on what they had had been doing after
the earthquake?
My favorite is that of A. J. Donavan of the Board of Public
Works, who wrote of the first three harrowing days...
"We had no time to write reports."

I misspelled the SF Board of Public Works department head.
It should be A.J. Donovan, instead of Donavan. Sorry.

My grandfather was born in San Jose on January 19, 1890. I have sent to the
county for his birth certificate, to no avail. His parents were Seward
Christopher Phillippe and Eva Pamela Canright. Does anyone have any
suggestions on how I may get his birth certificate? I need it to try to get
more info on his parents. Thanks.
Hi,
I've looked at birth certs for that time period and since you have his
parents names, that would be about the only information listed.
Did his parents die in Santa Clara County? If they did, I can do a death
cert lookup for them. That would have their information (if it was
included on the death cert). Let me know. I can do a death cert lookup
for you...no problem.

Hi to Perrin and all:
Just to let you know that this isn't a fluke, the same thing happened
to me last week. My husband's INGALLS stopped with his gr.grandfather, born
in Waltham ME. I finally made contact with a Waltham researcher who has
been recording all the families there and the surrounding area. She sent us
all the background for the Ingalls and associated families, all of whom go
back to the 1500-1600 in England. I don't even know for sure which of the
numerous postings and emails I have sent ou
