I am praying that someone lives in Raleigh and frequents the archives who would be willing to do some research for me. ggrandfather, Alexander Casey b. 1825, married Levicey or Vicy (both spellings are used) Jernigan April 1861. I have been unable to find any info on Vicey's parents. Vicey Jernigan (Age 12) is listed in the household of Henderson Martin in 1850 NC Wayne Co. census. I believe this is the same Vicey (age 22) listed in the 1860 NC Wayne Co. census in the household of Matthew Casey. On many fa

A Keziah Casey m. a Cooley in Lincoln Co KY. I do have more on this but I am going from Memory this Kesiah was the daughter of Christopher Casey b. 1754 died in Cole Co MO 1840. Like much of the Casey material we see there could be more to the story as we see from Donald' message. The Levi "Old Flynn" Casey married Chloe Hill is the son of Gen Levi Casey and Elizabeth Duckett. Now Lincoln Co IL census Christopher Casey was there (my line) now he may have had a son Levi Casey not sure. I think the John Linco

9. [CASEY-L] Levi Casey and Keziah Casey - KY ca 1810-40 [1]
Hi - I am researching the possible relationship of Keziah Casey (1813-90) bn Lincoln Co, KY. It appears that a father-daughter relationship is probable. Levi was present in Lincoln Co, KY as a 'householder' in 1811. Both of the US Censuses for 1820 and 1830 for Garrard Co, KY support that Levi and Chloe (Hill) Casey were the parents of Keziah - 1820 as female under 10 and 1830 as 15-20. The Levi Casey family apparently moved from Lincoln Co to Garrard Co between 1813 and 1820. In Garrard Co Nov 1831, Joh

Tim - Hi Thanks for responding. I did not understand what you meant by the following statement. Also, did you really mean Lincoln Co, Illinois - or Kentucky? "Now Lincoln Co IL census Christopher Casey was there (my line) now he may have had a son Levi Casey not sure." Thankns again! Denny, I haven't been following this thread, but I saw Micajah just now. I think I have a whole line on Micajah and I will look for it. I could probably scan it and send it to you. Also did you look to see if your Caseys are in either the Abner or Ambler (two different Caseys) from NC. You can find their on the internet. If you need help email me. 14. [CASEY] To Virginian Re: Casey/Cayce [1]
Hi Virginia, Well there may be some interesting connections. William Coughlin/Coughlan etc and Maria Casey were married in Parkersburg, WV in 1875. By 1880 William owned a tavern in Chicago, IL. In between was the birth of James. I am still trying to track how the Coughlins/Caseys ended up in Parkersburg, WV, to be married. The first born was a daughter, named Mary. Census records show her born in Virginia, unknown where. I'd like to explore this more with you, could you, or anyone else interested c

To some and to some degree it does matter and I'm sure the administrator can explain why if that hasn't been done in a while or if not recognized. The Subject line helps (many of us and especially if we participate in other Lists or our schedules require us to filter some submissions) some of determine the content of submissions. Some "unrelated" replies/submissions can be interesting and even helpful but if we need to filter what we read, such tools are intented to help. Nollaig Shona Duit, Scott -- "Vi

I have more specific info on Sarah Herring who married Micajah Casey of New Kent & Wayne Co. I have that she was born in 1750 in New Hanover, Nc and died in 1820 in Lenoir, NC. It's been awhile since we found this information so I cannot give you a source tonight. I also don't know why I have Sarah's middle name as Jernigan. I'll try and find out after the holidays. To Virginia in Seattle ( or anyone to whom this info might apply), I have a Casey line I believe has some connection to Kentucky. My Casey family had thirteen children. The youngest was my Ggrandmother, Susan. She had brothers Thomas and Patrick; sisters Maria and Anne that we know of. Since most families may have m
