I'm searching for information about Sarah Powell who settled in Sonama Co in
the late 1850's from OH. She married Jacob Powell in Ohio. Her son might be
Ransom Powell but I'm not sure yet. She was in the 1890 reconstructed census
but died the same year. I know she is buried in the Petaluma Cemetery, but
when I searched on a Saturday the office was closed so, unfortunately I
couldn't find her grave. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
Marianne

Marriage records of that time period are likely to have only the names of the people, the date of the marriage, the officiant (person performing the marriage), and the location. Sometimes the woman's name is given as 'Miss' Jones or 'Mrs'

The information I need is from a marriage of Sidney B. Holly to Mrs. Steelman H. Graeff on 3 Dec 1871 the book is C and the page is 162.
Thanks for any help anyone can be.

For Carol HELM and all Sonoma County genealogists,
Today I visited the Rural Cemetery in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. Today, Rural Cemetery is in the middle of town, but in the past it was out in the country, hence the name. Originally four separate cemeteries (Fulkerson, Moke, Stanley, and Old Rural), Rural Cemetery today is owned by the City of Santa Rosa and maintained principally by volunteers like Allen Phinney, who met me there this morning and took me to plot #161 in the Elipse or Oval are

These two are side by side on Magnolia Avenue. Your relative is likely to b
