1. [CASTANIS-L] Re: Olson/Nyquist [1]
Hi Shawn, Checked the Calif. Death Index for Hans or Henrick Olson and could not find a listing between 1940 and 1969. Given his birth year 1874 I only checked to 1969. Also checked the index at the recorder's office and there was no one dying in Stanislaus county by the last name of Olson, Hans or Henrick from 1950-58. I did check the computer at the recorder's office and found the Rev. Nyquist dying in Stanislaus county: Carl Victor Nyquist, 3 July 1969, 558-50-1265, born 18 Jan 1906. Hopefully you'll

4. [CASTANIS-L] MALLETT & PATISON in Modesto region, 1880's [1]
Hi Mike, Took a look at CADI 1940-79 and could not find a listing for Emma or Richard as dying in CA but those are the only years I have readily available. I can check at the recorder's office for deaths before that but I think those books are currently out also being rebound according to my notes; it might be awhile before I can actually get anything done on your names death date wise. I will take a look at the census indexes that are on the shelf for Stan. county in 1900 and 1910 and see if Mallett is
5. [CASTANIS-L] Re: Request for Assistance [1]
Hi Mike, Send me your snail mail address privately. I have your obits on Exie, Henry Scott, Hazel and your birth listing from the Modesto Bee. Your birth listing is not under HARDESTER, it's under SCOTT - almost missed it but when I couldn't find it within a week of your birthdate I went backt look at all the names listed - seems that who ever transcribed the listing left off the last name. Also took a look at the cemetery books on the shelf at the library and found the following Gooch listings: Pionee
6. Re: [CASTANIS-L] MALLETT & PATISON in Modesto region, 1880's [1]
Hi Mike, I'm in Modesto and I know that right now the marriage book for that year is out being rebound as are the early birth books, so I can't offer a lookup at this time. But if you think they also died in Stanislaus County I could check for death certificate info and obits in the Modesto Bee. Colleen Norby -----Original Message----- From: M. 9. [CASTANIS-L] GOAN [1]
Hi Chris, The books finally came back in at the recorder's office and I couldn't find a listing for your Charles Goan. Also checked the delayed birth certificate index and he didn't appear there either. It could be that his birth was never recorded, at least legally. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If there's anything else I can help you with please ask. 19. [CASTANIS-L] Wm Harrison EPPERSON, d 4/20/1848 Stanislaus Co. [1]
Hi, All-- I'm new to the list--glad I found it. I am looking for 1. Joel EPPERSON born 1779 or 1800 (!) in AL (probably) Bellefonte, Jackson Co. (I don't know how dependable this is; a map on the AL web shows that J Co was not organized until 1813, and there was no Bellefonte that I could find on that 1898 map!) Joel died 1825-30 in AR or TN or AL--- he moved his family to Benton Co AR ca 1825 and disappeared. His widow, Elizabeth Ann Matthews, TN, 1799, married Joshua ABBOTT in 1830, possibly in TN
