Chase Richards, a young boy scout pursuing his Eagle rank, took a group of friends to Overton, Nevada and photographed the tombstones in Pioneer Cemetery. He submitted about 500 pictures for the project. And earned his Eagle ranking!
Overton, Nevada is approximately 1 hour northeast of Las Vegas and has an early history in the State of Nevada. This community was originally settled by Mormon Pioneers sent by Brigham Young to farm. At the time they first settled in Overton, that community was part of Uta

I am working on my family history and would like to have pictures of of my cousin tombstones. .They are Vitotonio Partipilo who d Apr 7 2006 and is buried in Rosehill Cemetery. Chicago Illinois. Also would like to get a picture of the tombstones of my cousins Harry Engelsen d 1963 and his wife Maxine Williams Engelsen who d Mar 11 1996 band are buried in Evergreen Cemetery 3401 W 87th St

New pictures were added to the Huffaker Cemetery (aka Holcomb-Huffaker) which is near Reno, Nevada. This cemetery was almost destroyed by new housing development (progress) but luckily some records survived.
Gayle Hastert contributed the survey in 2000, including information provided by Verna Stumpf Paterson who interviewed Mrs. Kate Holcomb Mansfield in 1953. The Lyell family are Mrs. Mansfield's ancestors.

Thanks to Paul who organized many people to help him with this project, and contratulations to him on attaining his Eagle rank. A job well done.
There are now over 3,000 pictures of this cemetery, with more to come.
