I have downloaded the latest version quite a long time ago. Unfortunately I did not install it. After installing it, I have discovered that I do not have the foreign languages package. But the CFT home page (http://www.cf-software.com/) is empty (or almost empty) for more than two weeks (or even more..) Any hint ? ____________________ http://www.email.si/

7. Re: [CFT-WIN] Is there a limit to the number of Misc Data items [1]
According to http://www.cft-win.com/cft.php, there is no limit to the number of events per individual. When I add an event, I put basic information in the Place and Misc Data fields. If I need more room, I will enter information on the Note tab, include a source document, or both. I love that v4.03 allows you to use a document as the source. You could "print" the census extract to a PDF file and include that. ------ Original Message ------ From: "Dick Thomas" To: cft-win@rootsweb
8. [CFT-WIN] Is there a limit to the number of Misc Data items [1]
Not the size of a single item, but is there a limit to the total NUMBER of Misc Data Items I can create, in the database? I've been doing a lot of US Census extracts, and now as I start to enter the data I've found, I've learned that the Census event really doesn't hold much info - Date, Place, and Misc data, and I'd like to include such items as : "John Jones appeared in the 1900 US Census, as widowed, age 94, a farmer residing with the family of his 2nd son, Jacob. He is listed a

16. [CFTW] Descendent and Ancestral Stories [1]
There are no birth or death dates being printed for the children or parents of anybody when you print a Descendent or Ancestral Story. Can 3 beta 16's format of these reports be the same as version 2.51x 's format? Including the Headers: Generation1, Generation 2, etc? If you print the same report in both versions for anybody for 2 generations, you will see the vast differences. Karen Pastuzyn

18. [CFTW] cftw v3.16b - languages / FGS pagination / Selection List [1]
Three questions: 1) What is the deal with the language translation feature? After each upgrade (update) I am presented with the Language Translation feature when I attempt to run CFTW. Each time I uncheck all but the English (United States) language, yet each time I have to sit through a painfully slow "Wait while updating languages" operation for all the languages. Obviously I am doing something wrong, but it's not clear to me what that is? What should I do when I next update my cftw to avoid this 30
19. [CFTW] Wish List - D^itto for Place [1]
Any chance of a D^itto facility (similar to the Source D^itto) when you are entering the place using the ^Place feature when adding events? I have been entering a series of BMD records from Church Registers, and finding the correct entry time after time is a little tedious. This would save keystrokes.
