There are many places around your home where you might find genealogical
information, including those below. You can also ask relatives if they have
or know of any items that might be useful to your research.

I don't know about you folks, but a lot of my research is in California. This is sometimes the only way I can get information that I need.

2a. CALIFORNIA BIRTH AND DEATH RECORDS. The California Senate is now
considering legislation that would reduce the information available in
that state's birth and death record indexes, which would render them
significantly less useful and/or limit their use and access by
