>>For those of you interested: (I am still considering scanning and digitalising the 40 odd pages I have in order to make more generally available .. and more particularly, easily searcheable - would this help? any ideas where to place this on the web?) I believe Rootsweb, Ancestry.com or another geneology site has web pages you can put this information on as long as it is not copyrighted. Same goes for copying the book off for others. If it is copyrighted, you will have to have permission first to do so

Hello, I see, unless mistaken, that Lynda in Texas is sending you a copy of 'the Chalk Family of England and America 1066-1942" Mine has just arrived - maybe this will help elucidate the missing links! There is years' worth of research material in it! I suspect 'my' William of Rochester, Milton, and/or Canterbury is related to the 'cpt' William ..as his trade was haberdasher/linen merchant' ... connected I assume (correctly??) with the trade of cpt William's ship. 5. [CHALK] FYI [1]
Hello Listers, I receive notices from Rootsweb everytime a post bounces. Somedays I recieve several of these. They are caused by your addresses being over quota, changing addresses and not unsubscribing the old addy, and junk mail addy's. To reduce the number of these reports, which clutter up my email and take time away from my research, I have chosen to change the settings to 3 bounces and the digest will deliver every 24 hours instead of 18. What this means is if your address bounces 3 time Rootsweb
6. [CHALK] CHALK - Ontario, Canada [1]
Hello, List! I have a Charlotte CHALK marrying a Henry DYMER in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada, on 4 Oct 1881. I haven't sent away for the marriage record, yet, so don't have any idea where Charlotte came from, or her parents. Henry Dymer came to Canada from Bulford, Wiltshire, England, with his father and a sister (at least) in 1876. Does this sound familiar to anyone? ____________ David J.
