I have a father and son that I'm trying to find out more about.
What I know so far is :
Thomas KIRKHAM, listed on 1881 census as "vicar of St Pauls, Manningham (York), aged 46.
I emailed St Pauls and they told me that all they know is "that he was vicar from 1881 to 1895 and was an MA Canterbury".
The Archivist at Canterbury Cathedral told me that it's very unlikely that he was an MA Canterbury. They thought that it could be a misreading of "MA Cantab", meaning Cambridge, but they didn't find him listed in
Just in case anyone's interested, the archivist at the Church of England (c-of-e.org.uk) found both of
them in Crockford's for me, along with another two sons who it seems also went into the Church.

Apologies to the writer of the last post - I have deleted your email! Could not find www.c-of-e.org.uk.
Were you referring to Lambeth Palace records?
Do you have an email address for the archivist you referred to please?
