I just returned from a trip to Ohio. One of my relatives gave me an old photo
album with identified ancestors, unidentified ancestors and identified
unknown persons (may be ancestors, tho haven't made the connection yet - most
likely friends of my great grandmother, whose album this was). These photos
date back to the mid 1800s.
If anyone is related to any of the following, I'd be happy to make a copy and
send. If there are any BURNHAMS out there, let me know! Got some wonderful
old Burnham photos.

I am trying to find a death date for my great Aunt Ida. She was on the Scioto County, Ohio 1900 census as Ida Sturgeon. The 1910 census for Clark County, Ohio listed her as Ida McKeever living with her sister Anna and brother-in-law William Bowers in Springfield. The 1920 Clark County Census listed her as Ida Rice (her maiden name) living with her daughter Clara and son-in-law Charle

In 1880, one of Springfield's residents, John W. VAN SICKLE A.M., M.D.,
PhD, privately published a book titled "A History of the VAN SICKLE FAMILY
in the United States of America". It appears to be over 200 pages long.
Does anyone have a copy or know where I can purchase one?
All I have are various pages from it, and I need the entire book.

Hey, All!
Am wondering this morning about the Old Settlers Meetings in Clark Co in
the early 1900s.
I posted here before a list of attendees to a 1907 "Pioneer Meeting" in
New Carlisle that I found in the Rockel book. Found another reference to
one of these meetings in a 1903 obituary. My question is.....what
records of these meetings exist, if any? Rockel doesn't state where he
located his list, but it would appear someone, sometime kept a list of
attendees and, at least, their ages. Are there any rec

This may be elementary...but one never knows - Have you tried searching
the Obituary index online at the Clark Co. Library? Perhaps trying (and
this is tedious) just using a first name Ida and a span of years at a
time....sometimes surnames are misspelled in that index. I've found a
few this way.

in the articles were Lamme, Taylor, Scarff, Boblet, Stroup, Berger and

For those interested in Tecumseh High School, take a look at their all class

Starting today (Monday, 6/10) and extending over several days, RootsWeb is
going to be moving the list servers and other machines.
No messages sent are expected to be lost, but the lists will be down for a
while when it happens; please don't post "why aren't I getting mail" during
that time.....you will when it comes back up, and you don't want half of it
to be everyone on the list asking why aren't they getting mail.

Can someone tell me what years this photographer was in business in
