Am searching for any information about the family of Christopher and
"Polly"(Mary?) CLEMMONS who had at least one daughter born in Washington
Co, VA, 9 Jan 1813.
Believe Christopher may be the son of Casper/Gasper CLEMMONS and wife, Mary
Caldwell, of Augusta Co, VA.
Casper CLEMMONS, is known to have had a son, John Douglas CLEMMONS, who
settled in Ross Twp, near Jamestown, Greene Co, OH.
The family records indicate that Christopher and Polly, came to Greene Co,
OH, in 1818. The parents died in 1825, le
I am looking for information on Mary Clemmons. She was born in the late
1700's and was married to Bennett Watts, Jr., also named Mason Bennett
Watts. They both died around 1840 outside of Little Rock Arkansas from
malaria. Mary Clemmons is the mother of my great grandmother Susannah
Tennessee Watts. I am especially interested in finding out if there is
any Cherokee Indian Ancestry thru Mary Clemmons. If any one has any
information or related to Mary Clemmons, please contact me.
Thank You Ray Harr
We have had a few people join the list recently and this might be a good
opportunity to do a roll call.
I am researching the Samuel Thompson Clemmons family that moved to Wilson

I just signed up (subscribed) to both the clemmons-l and the clemmons-d
lists, without reading the difference in the two subscriptions (kinda jumped the
gun.. cause I was glad I found the info on the internet). So, I'll go on and
cancell the clemmons-l and get the "digest" form.
Thanks

John Clemmons b in about 1752 in Augusta, Co VA appears to be the son of
Christian Clemens. He married Elizabeth Eakle (Eagle, Echols) and they moved
to Jackson Co Tn in 1806. He was in the Revolutionary War (I have his Pension
Application) and had five children.
I was curious if your Samuel Clemmons could be his brother.

you could pass that along I would greatly appreciate it. Please send it

Dear Mike,
Received your e-mail today about the family reunion. Sorry we will be
unable to attend. My mother, Annie Laurie Buchanan Clemmons, widow of
Porter Clemmons, is 91 and in frail health. Maybe someday I will make it to
one of the reunions. Dad has been gone since 1985. News from our family is
that last summer (July 15, 2007) our youngest son, Aaron Ross Stewart,
married Helen Sophie Vos.
Thanks for keeping us on the e-mail list.

I'm stuck, too.
To date, the furthest back I have gotten to is 1832 with the birth year for
my Lewis Tom Clemmons. His mother was Sarah (maiden name not yet clear) who,
in 1836, married Samuel Newman in Morgan Co., AL. The family then appears in
Giles Co., TN. Eventually, Lewis and family (wife was Mary Adaline POWERS of
Giles Co.) moved from TN. to Texas. The family is buried at Elmo Cemetery.
Does anyone have any information on WHO Lewis' father was? We think
