For all you Pearsall, Parshall, Pashall descendants
I wish we had a Pearsall list like there is a COATES-L list. I don't
know what it would take to maintain a list, but we need a place to enter
all the Pearsall data put online. Maybe a digest form would be better,
I don't know. Any suggestions?
The whirl of copied email is pretty dense here, and it tends to settle
never to be seen again.

CHARLES, THERE IS A SAMUEL (COATS) WHO WROTE CHARLOTTE LAST MONTH THAT IS FROM THIS SAME LINE. I HIGHLY SUSPECT YOU ARE TIED INTO THE FOLLOWING COATE FAMILY FROM PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA. THIS IS JUST A SKETCH AND DOES NOT SHOW HOW THE GEORGE'S GO BACK EXACTLY, BUT MIGHT GIVE YOU SOME GOOD LEADS.
1) A William Cotes witnessed the will of William Say, Shopkeeper, in Philadelphia on 7/27/1711. This William is probably listed as the son of Joan Clemson in her will dated Sep. 10, 1727 in Philadelphia.
P.S. I'd like to give a great big thanks to Gary W. Coats for his hours of adding many details and helping me sort these, and Charlotte for her info on the land records and her wonderful homepage that has all those Coat Court Documents which are beginning to make sense! Accolades to you both. It was a huge help. Also, I'll post changes as we get enough of them coming in.

SC Archives is great for getting info and will sent index lists...that's really nice

Steve,
I had forgotten that you were through William and Rachel Ann Budd Coate. I am most interested in how you determined the children you have listed for them, (the sources of info.) and if you actually have any documents which prove there was a Rachel Ann Budd? I'm sure you've seen them listed with a son Marmaduke Coate, but I've never been able to prove it. I'd love to know if you could disprove it.

Hi All...
I've added some additional records to the SC Document page in the Archive...
I think these records were the ones I thought they had lost....I didn't get the Revolutionary
Records which is in the next order...
The land records for Wm or Wms who owned 650 and 800 acres of land are there...one
of them is referred to as Esq., so I think this might be the same William married
to William Green....
The mapping is a bit more complicated than I had anticipated...so that may take some
time...I need to g

Looking for information on Ursula Coates who married Harmon Haworth (probably
in Green Co., TN) abt. early 1830's. Ursula and Harmon had a daughter Sallie
who married (1) Elkanah Mardock -- a Quaker pastor in the latter 1800's who
was my husband's gg grandfather and (2) a Mr. Connett in Iowa or Ohio.
If any of this rings a bell please drop me an e-mail. I'd like to know more
about Ursula.

I'm interested in finding out anything about Joseph Coates and his wife
Ann Dutton and family, mostly before they emigrated to Utah. They came
from England in 1848 and lived for abt 3 yrs in a place called Dryhill,
MO (now part of St. Louis). I'd like to know anything about them during
that time; or communicate with any of their descendants. My e-mail

If I can be of any help to anyone let me know.

Hi
I bought a book from Heritage Books titled, Political History
of Jackson County, Missouri, 1902. I was hoping that it might
have a relation of mine by the name of KERSEY COATES who
died in Kansas City, MO in 1887. I know he was a pretty
prominent person there but unfortunately the book only
concerned itself with men of the present day, being 1902.
The only Coats mentioned is Miss LILLIAN COATS, a daughter
of GEORGE COATS, of Pueblo, Colorado. In 1890, she married
WALTER M. DAVIS, born "of Welsh
