He's baaack! :-)....Leon Moya has found that NM is not as demanding as
he had thought it would be. So, we have him back as our Asst. SC!
So...for those of you that had not fixed your pages by taking his name
off as Asst. SC, you can just leave him there, if you did change your
pages, then please put him back! I am so glad he was able to resume his
much needed help in here! By the way Leon (since you asked ) no one
has taken over the Archives, and Linda has a 'help wanted' ad up on the
board for it.

Terry,
I really have nothing against copy righting. It is often a necessary
thing, especially if you are in business. I would suggest something
simple such as:
)1998 The COGenWeb
or something like Megan has on the bottom of the new USGenWEB page.
Either way would be all you need. I have one set of pages I designed
where I put the copyright just below their logo because that is how they
wanted it ( I also designed their MOUNTAIN LOGO ) Take a look.

THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS - What Really Happened
December 14, 1972
My dearest darling John:
Who ever in the whole world would dream of getting a real Partridge
in a Pear Tree? How can I ever express my pleasure. Thank you a
hundred times for thinking of me this way.
My love always,

The 12 Days of Technology Before Christmas
On the first day of Christmas, technology gave to me:
A database with a broken b-tree (What the heck is a b-tree anyway?)
On the second day of Christmas, technology gave to me:
Two transceiver failures (CRC errors? Collisions? What is going on?)
And a database with a broken b-tree (Rebuild WHAT? It's a 10GB
database!)
On the third day of Christmas, technology gave to me:
Three French users (Who, of course, think they know everything)
Two transceiver failures (Wh

I've been surfing for Christmas Graphics today, and found this site. They
have a lot of graphics, quite a variety of themes, style, clip art and etc.
Some of everything. 25 pages of graphics alone, with 8 to 18 graphics on
each. Also lines, and Christmas icons.

I recently found some letters in my family files from the early 1890's. In
these letters, Maggie Allen Simonton is writing to her cousins & uncle in
Tennessee. In one letter dated March 8, 1894, she is writing from:
Berkeley PO, Arapahoe County, Colorado.
I looked for Berkeley on a current map, and I can't find it. Does anyone
know where Berkeley Post Office would have been located, and might anyone
guess why she might be there as a visitor?
Maggie Allen Simonton was born Sarah Margaret Allen in 1856 in M
I know that ya'll been waiting for ages....., and the wait is
finally over,
Dolores, Montrose and San Miguel counties are now on-line!! Where in
the heck are they? Besides being in Colorado, they border the
eastern Utah border. Very unpopulated!
The query form isn't working quite right for Dolores, and they will
all be getting Surname submittal forms soon, but they are up. There
isn't a lot to each set of county pages either, but I wanted those of
you that have been dying to get involved w
DaVe Leininger sent this on il-chat, and I thought it was worth passing on!

The following is a nice collection of "What I've learned" from all ages
of people (Most are from "Live And Learn and Pass It On.".).
I've Learned that.......
I've learned that you can't hide a piece of broccoli in a
glass of milk. Age 6
I've learned that I like my teacher because she cries when
we sing "Silent Night". Age 7
I've learned that when I wave to people in the country,
they stop what they are doing and
