Good Morning - I am looking for any information on Abigail Waterman Coffin, 1819-1891, my great-great-grandmother, who married Nelson Burr Rowley in New York. My grandmother remembered that she was one of 5 sisters and that a man named Algernon Farr, one of Abraham Lincoln's closest friends, was in love with one of Abigail's sisters. Mr. Farr and Nelson Rowley were friends too, and at some point Mr. Farr gave Nelson a beautiful walking stick that used to belong to Pres. Lincoln. We still have that

Looking for ancestors of the wife of Stephen Coffin, b. Freeport, Cumberland, Maine January 1771 and died about 1850/60; his wife was Rhoda Welsh; her father was Thomas Welch b. 14 February 1740 North Yarmouth, Maine; it isn't clear and doesn't seem to want to get clear his wife - some say an Elizabeth Winslow and the rest a Mary Clough.
