I am looking for any information on Abigail Waterman Coffin, 1819-1891, my
great-great-grandmother, who married Nelson Burr Rowley in New York. My
grandmother remembered that she was one of 5 sisters and that a man named
Algernon Farr, one of Abraham Lincoln's closest friends, was in love with one
of Abigail's sisters. Mr. Farr and Nelson Rowley were friends too, and at
some point Mr. Farr gave Nelson a beautiful walking stick that used to belong
to Pres. Lincoln. We still have that

Born: 16 Apr 1824
Died: 16 Nov 1883
2. Jane wife of Charles H. Coffin and daughter
of Silas and Eliza C. Sisson
Born: 18 Jan 1828
Died: 21 Feb 1865

Hiram Coffin b. 1820 m. Mary Decker. Is anyone out there related to these two people?? Hiram was maybe born in NY and Lived in Dekalb Ill in 1850 or so.

Looking for ancestors of the wife of Stephen Coffin, b. Freeport,
Cumberland, Maine January 1771 and died about 1850/60; his wife was Rhoda
Welsh; her father was Thomas Welch b. 14 February 1740 North Yarmouth,
Maine; it isn't clear and doesn't seem to want to get clear his wife - some
