I am researching my great grandparents - James O. and Christina Monteith.
They
immigrated from Scotland in 1882 with their 4 children - Annie, Robert, John,
and
Christina. They settled on a farm near Durango (Griffith/Falfa, on the
Florida Mesa).
Also James' brother, John R. Monteith/wife Catherine, and Catherine's sister,
Annie/husband John Carnon settled in Durango shortly after that.
By 1900 census, James' brothers, Peter and Andrew, and sister, Mary, also
settled in Durango area.

I am looking for any descendants of BARNEY RAYMOND ARTHUR and BESSIE
HETHERINGTON.
Barney died in Durango in December 1930. He was married to Bessie
Hetherington and they had two
daughters, LENA and ALTHA. In 1930, Altha was a senior in High School.
Lena was married and
had a last name of HATTER, she lived on Upper Florida.
Any one having any information on either of these girls or any of their
descendants, please contact
Lea Arthur at dilea@tscnet.com or at P.O. Box 5145, Bremerton, WA
