Melva, Sorry I can't relate to your Pearce. Gggrandmother Rebecca Pearce's family is quite well documented.....with parents, siblings their journey from MD, VA, OH, Ill. The Combs lineage has been a real challenge for me. These Combs, Mahlon, Eliz. and Rebecca were all in Jasper co. Mo. about the same time as my Sarah Ann Combs when she m. Daniel D Wilson. I have always suspected she was related to the Mahlon/Malon in VA, who is well documented, however can't connect to the Ohio family. Wish I c

I am a descendant of Coleman Coombs/Combs and various spellings. He was born about 1747, Hempstead, Nassau Co. NY, married 10 Feb 1770 Washington Co. PA to Mary PIERCE, daughter of John Pierce and Frances. I know nothing of Mary Pierce other than her father's name and her mother's given name. I have no dates for them. Mary Pierce and husband Coleman Combs both died Washington Co., MD, he 12 Oct 1807 and she 1812. They had sons Lewis Combs who also died in Washington Co., MD; John Combs Sr. b. B

Well, this is one of the most intriguing emails I've read in a while. I'm out of the Kentucky Combs line and my husband is a Pearce whose father was from Indiana. I'm having quite a bit of difficulty tracing the PEARCE line, my husband is the 2nd family of Royal Rayden Pearce, b. 24 June 1892, in Wilbur Indiana. Roy had 4 siblings that I've found and his mother was Alice Tanner but I don't know his father's name. Would love to know if any of this PEARCE info crosses with your COMBS line. Melva in

Seeking info on lineage of gggrandmother Sarah Ann Combs b 1829, Ohio or VA. On the mortality sheet I find some new info, saying father b. England, mother Ohio, and Sarah born VA....it had always been believed she was b. Ohio. She m. Daniel Wilson (his father is William Smith Wilson, mother Rebecca Pearce) 1845 Jasper co.
