I am researching CUCKSON name in Nottinghamshire mainly, and have much to
share... Keep hoping someone out there is doing the same! In particular
trying to find ANY information about ANY "JOSEPH CUCKSON" to try and
identify my two known to be Joseph Ancestors.

No match here I am afraid.
Cooksons were prolific in the Preston, Blackburn, Fylde area. Unfortunately
none of mine so far.
I did however, have a Francis Cookson from Kingswinford, Staffs that married
a Martha Marriott from Eccles, Manchester (60 miles away) in 1850. I have
speculated that they might have met through some relation of Francis that
was part of the Preston, Fylde Blackburn Cookson clan. Francis was the son
of Benjamin, an innkeeper from Kinver Staffs

Hello everyone. I am a new subsciber
I have traced my COOKSON family back to Benjamin Cookson who was an
Innkeeper at the Staq Inn in Kinver Staffordshire UK in the mid 19th
Century.
Benjamin was born late 18th C.
Although I have yet to confirm it, I believe he married Rebecca Jennings abt
1817.
They had two offspring Francis and Mary.
Mary married William Holloway but I have no further info down that line
Francis married Martha Marriott from Eccles, Lancs in 1850
Descendants of Francis Cookson

Before each of us laid our lives
