Hi, Cookson Researchers! My ggg-grandfather, John Cookson, came from Pennsylvania to Pickaway County, Ohio appoximately 1839. His wife was Esther Griest. They travelled from Pennsylvania by wagon with three children - Sarah Ann (Sallie), Julia Ellen (my gg-grandmother), and Jacob G. They were Quakers. I am having a difficulty finding out who John Cookson's parents were. There seem to be quite a few John and Jonathan Cooksons.
