No match here I am afraid. Cooksons were prolific in the Preston, Blackburn, Fylde area. Unfortunately none of mine so far. I did however, have a Francis Cookson from Kingswinford, Staffs that married a Martha Marriott from Eccles, Manchester (60 miles away) in 1850. I have speculated that they might have met through some relation of Francis that was part of the Preston, Fylde Blackburn Cookson clan.
