Linda, Thank you for getting in touch with me. I do not recognize the names you mentioned from the genealogy of William Cornett - from whom I am descended. Probably around the time of 1066 and the time of Wm. the C

Hi Joe, First of all, thank you for your time in Iraq. I am happy that you returned safely. My name is Linda Cassidy. My maternal grandmother was Mary (mae) Catherine Cornett married to Frank Whytewood. Her father was John Baptist Cornet b.1869 in Charleroi, Hainaut, Belgium. He had a sister Sidonie Cornette. Their parents were Dominic Cornet and Marie Antonette. Jean Baptiste changed the spelling to Cornett sometime in the early 1900's. John moved to Nova Scotia, Canada around 1890, after his

8. [CORNETT] Cornett Civil War Records. [1]
All, Thank you very much for a warm welcome to the Cornett genealogy forum. I am glad to have found my way here and am pleased to get your emails. I have attached to this note the Civil War records of the Cornetts (and Hoggs) that were given to me by the Sons of Confederate Veterans located in Whitesburg, KY. Feel free to access them. They provide a simple but a sound record of their service to the CSA. Sincerely, Joe Jackson _________________________________________________________________ PC Ma
