Linda,
OK, I just thougt that perhaps you had found a new little genealogical
"gem" of which I was unaware.
Please note the reply to my e-mail re: Cinderill Lynch and her marriage to a
mr Bell and Thomas Sriggs. Bill Couch of the famed CouchGenWEB asked if I
had more on Thomas Spriggs. Can you provide anything more on Thomas
Spriggs?

Hi Robert,
Still trying to make a connection, and wanted to let you know, my mother died.
February 19th, I did go to Pine Log cemetery last week and Foster's had put the
date on the tombstone.
Anyway, I still need to meet with you and see and share all we each have on our
respective families. I'm still trying to make my connection to the Couch family. Care
to share what you have? Would really appreciate that.
Keep me posted. Thanks a bunch.

Hello Debbi,
I've been searching for a long time but couldn't connect people and
places. Then I found Robert Couch at: <
http://rcouchauburn.home.mindspring.com> or e-mail <
rcouchauburn@mindspring.com> I noticed Robert's site many times but didn't
stop & look. Then one day something told me GO THERE!! Other family
researchers as well have really provided a lot of info for us to delve
through.

Hazel,
My Longs came from Germany and settled in
Pennsylvania. Jacob Martin Long then moved to Nebraska
where he died. We have some Hazels in the line so I
thought maybe your were connected. It doesn't seem so.

Linda,
Not sure if we've talked before but after seeing your query and the reply of
Robert, was wondering if you have any connection to my Vest and Woodall families,
both from GA and later Lawrence and Morgan Counties of AL. There were marriages
between both the Vests and Woodalls to a Moss line. These are families distantly
connected to my Wilson line by marriages, as far as I know. Looking for my gg
Wilson/Willson grandparents but have nothing to go on. I have only found the name
and info for their son, m
Betty Jane,
I am so very sorry to hear of your Mom's death. My Mother died 25 years ago
and I still feel the void vividly almost every week. You certainly have my
deepest sympathies.
I am trying to place you. Where do you live? I recall we have corresponded
before but when slips my feeble mind.
I am in Auburn, AL. Have you visited my website? Refresh me on your folks
and where they were from.
I would be happy to meet with you. Let me know when and where.
And again my deepest sympathies.

Linda,
My great grandfather was William Lynch "Buck" Couch. He was the son of
Johnathan Malicha Couch and Malinda Moss. How is your Cinderella related to
him? Were they step-siblings? I have seen some info that Malicha was
married before to Letty Condron. How far have you traced the Couch line? I
would like to share info with you.

Linda,
I just read your message containing references about my book, One Alabama
Couch Family, which you saw online. I probably should take it off the
internet becaurse it is now so dated. I have made many corrections and
additions since I first placed it on my webpage two years ago. But, as was
my intention I keep getting new leads such as yours. Thanks for your nice
comments about my work.
You mention that Letty Vaught Condron was a stepsister of William Lynch
Couch. I did not know this. One Willia

Hi,
With the state I've been in, got my names mixed up. Robert Couch,
thinking, Bill Couch. Goodness!! Bill Couch lives in Brookland, Ar.
and I live about 12 miles from him, in Jonesboro, Ar. We have
corresponded often but I had not heard from him in awhile. I went
brain dead. Anyway, he and I are related on the Wilson side.Maybe
you have Wilson's too. Here is my line.
Father: Bert Lee Hensley
Born: 7- June- 1913
Died: 20- April- 1991
Buried: Pine Log Cemetery, Brookland, Crai
Betty,
Thank goodness. I know how my memory fails me as I get older but I simply
could not recall who you were. Actually, I was embarassed because I could
not remeber you. Now you have let me know that I have not completely lost
my mind. Thanks. Sorry, I do not know of any connection. Some of my Couch
folks moved from Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi to the great state of
Arkansas. I now have a son who lives in Little Rock along with two of my
three grandchildren.

Hi Robert,
OOPS! I think I made a type'o. I need to edit my letters better.
In my letter to Debbi, who stated her grt grandfather was William Lynch Buck
Couch, I mistakenly stated Letty was step sister to William Lynch Buck Couch.
I meant to say I believed Cinderilla Couch was step sister to a William Lynch
Buck Couch(his mother being Malinda Moss).Cinderilla Couch/Hunter then named
her own sons traditional Couch/Lynch names. Does that sound correct
according to your accounts?
Again I am sorry for
Hazel,
My husbands Longs were from Ark. John Long was born
1854 in Ark. 1900 census for Choctaw Nation (Oklahoma)
says his parents came from Ga. In the 1910 he said he
doesn't know. He ran away from an uncles home after
his father died in the civil war because the man was
mean to him. He had younger siblings as he told his
daughter that he didn't mind leaving them because they
were with good families. This is as far back on the
Long side that I have gotten. His daughter also told
me that they were suppose t
