Has anyone found reference to Joseph Couch in the time frame of 1760 -1806 in NC? This Joe is refered to in historical documents as being in NC as well as VA and documtments refer to him as "Montgomery" Joe. He had holdings in MontgomeryCo Va s well as Surry/Ashe. He is noted as being next to property of John Couch in VA as well as Ashe Co NC.. In deeds for 1801-02 he is noted next to James Lewis and John. In a document in present day Tucker Co Wva he is again listed as being next to John Couch {1769 and
