In the Old Thomas 9381 Line he had a son Jacob 4698 who was married
twice. Nancy Graves 24191 and Elizabeth Clanton 2907. I have done a lot
of work trying to put names to the four children of the first marrage
with Nancy Graves. Jacob married Nancy Graves in Person County NC on 12
June 1813. The 1820 census shows Patsey Graves as Head of Household with
four children less than ten years old. There were three boys and one
girl. Patsey was on line 21 0f page 494 and her mother was on line 20.

Charles died defending Atlanta in the Civil War, and Nancy moved her children

Be prepared to find lots and lots of Cocuhes in the files in England. In the
70s I did some research -- there were drawers and drawers of card -- you know
the ones like libraries used to have that listed books -- now they have
computers. I didn't have enough info to find it useful -- since I was only
to GA or SC -- wishing you mucho luck. A Jacob might be easier to track down
than a John or William!! Maybe you will find something for the rest of us.

Dear All,
I am planning a trip to Scotland (to research Walters) and to England,
if possible, to research Couches. I am a descendant of Jacob Couch of
Craven Co., South Carolina who had a will of 1797 and was probably in
Tennessee before 1796. If anyone has information on his forebears,
please, please let me know. I will be glad to continue search overseas
if we have a link.
