http://www.couchgenweb.com/couch/simonc.htm
This chart is here to show how each Researcher connect to the family and
also list your email address so other researchers can contact you.
If each of you will give me your ancestors back to Levi I will show it on
the Chart.
I also have some info on them. My daughter and I have just completed
transcribing all Couch Census from 1850-1920 and we have added lots of names
to these families.
I am a descendant of Levi Couch and Cynthia Higgins. I'd be happy to
send you what I have. It is believed that Cynthia's line goes back to
the Mayflower.

My ancestors John Couch Sr and Thomas Couch were in what is now Alabama as
early as 1808. Both of them as well as John Couch Jr. each had 60 acre
land grants on Indian Creek in Madison County (MS TERR). All three were
counted in the 1809 Mississippi Territoral Census. They later moved into
Morgan and Lawrence County. Decatur is the largest town in Morgan County.
My ancestor Malachi Couch was married in about 1819 in Morgan County, AL.
So, I would love to know more of John Couch of New Decatur,
HMMMM - I'd invite my gg-grandfather Thomas Couch. I'd ask him who his mother, and his grandfather Couch was. And since these folks were great storytellers, I'd want him to tell me his favorite story about what it was like growing up in the mountains of Perry Co. Kentucky.

A little over a year ago, I wrote the query copied below. Today, I
know little more than I did then, and I am still seeking information
regarding Edward "Ed" Couch, the mysterious and missing husband of
Rosa (Rosetta, Rosie) Couch of Pickens County, SC.
Here is what I have added to the pile since last year:
Rosa may have been born in NC on 15 October of 1871 or 1874, and she
may have died on 2 March 1940. I say may have died on that date
because I have yet to locate her death certificate, but that is the

Those of us in the USA will soon be celebrating Thanksgiving. Listmembers,
if you could have one of your ancestors join you for
Thanksgiving dinner, which ancestor would you invite?
What would you ask this ancestor?
Please send a post to the list telling us about this ancestor - and please
remember to include the dates and place he/she lived in the county.

Cynthia Higgins line can be seen on FamilySearch http://www.familysearch.com
However, you must search her father and mother to see how she is a
descendant of Stephen Hopkins of the Mayflower. To become a member of
the Mayflower Society, everything must be documented. From what I
understand, there may be a lack of documentation of George being
Cynthias father.
Cynthias father was George W. Higgins and her mother was Prentis
Mayfes. The pedigree chart shows that Georges father was Israel
Higgins and hi
My husband is also a descendant of Levi Couch. Would be interested in info

Mathelia was the Mother of Mary Jane Cothran who married William Marian

I would ask her: Who were your Parents?
