I have a June Corbett(?) Couch married to an Alfred Couch in the early
1900's, and their children: Alfred Jr., Iris, Francis, and Carmen Couch.
They lived in Washington State in the 1940's, I think Francis and Iris died
in the 60's.
Just thought I'd pass this on, came upon it surfing. The message board
on this site has many Couches looking for family info., mostly Perry and
Hazard Co., KY.

I am still looking for my mother's best friend, her maiden name was Janie
Couch. Her mothers name was Opal. If anyone knows her or is related please
let me know and it would be greatly appreciated. My mother would love to
hear from her. Thanks, Tammy
I erased the message where someone offered to type this up and put it on the
site -- so couldn't answer direct -- if in fact you do type it up -- please
let us know when it goes on the site. Thanks

Looking for info on Edgar Earl Couch, my grandfather. At the time my
father was born he was in Pittsburgh, PA.
All I have is Edgar Earl Couch married Venetta D. Clarke. Their
children were Earl Clarke Couch, William Albert Couch, and Irma (Erma)
Couch.
I'm trying to find out where Edgar Couch was born or deceased.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanx,

The Enoree River goes through Orange Co. NC. I have about the same info
from Ornage Co. that he wrote about. Just different dates. And I have
never see where it came from King George.
But It was very interesting to see that there may be some records in
some of the other counties. We can't seem to find what we need in Orange
Co.
to sort out this bunch of couches for about 1750-1800

Diane is correct. Normally land grants were given out as rewards for some
sort of military or political service, or to encourage Englishmen to
settle in the Colonies. Still, it would be nice to someday find out what
"service" the Couch boys performed???
Marianne.
Hi Bill,
Thanks for all the work you are doing on the Couch Web Site. When you get
time, could you add both the wills of both Thomas Couch's of Orange County,
NC (1827 & 1845) that I have previously posted to the list, to the second
link you have listed below?
If they are posted elsewhere on the site, just ignore my message but if you
need me to send you a copy of these wills, just let me know.
Thanks!
Kathryn

I posted the file that calvin sent me on the server. don't have a link
to it ye
Calvin,
This very interesting! Please, can you document your source for this
information? Where did you read it or see it?
Can you supply a web address or bibliographic citation?
I look forward to your reply.
Marianne Ryan.
Dear Calvin Dorris,
My name is Lila Walters Moorer. I am the daughter of Clova Lila Couch
Walters, and I am researching my ancestors. I have gotten as far as a
Jacob Couch of Craven Co. South Carolina, who had a will of 1797.
I am very interested in your information and would appreciate being sent
any of your documentation that may be related to the Couches. I cannot
say that these grants are "part of my past," but there couldn't have
been that many Couches in Craven Co., SC during that period.

Information about NICHOLAS DORSEY WORTHINGTON's gravesite and his
son NICHOLAS J.O.D. WORTHINGTON has existed for a long time. His
wife, however, was never mentioned. My cousin Kathi wanders
through cemeteries and found my MATILDA WORTHINGTON wife of
NICHOLAS DORSEY WORTHINGTON just two weeks ago at the Mt. Olive
Methodist Church
I know this may sound strange, and not be much help, but I noticed on the
Couch Family attachment to the original message, that 2 -- Benjamin Couch
7727 was 218 years old, and his spouse Elizabeth Phillips was 216 years old.
You may want to check this.
